I firmly believe Nick’s return is exactly what Brooke and The Bold and the Beautiful desperately needed

As an avid viewer of The Bold and the Beautiful for the past several decades, I feel I've watched Brooke Logan endure all types of heartache. While I have always appreciated her resilience, I must admit it has been a little disheartening to see her stuck in this endless cycle with Ridge Forrester.

So, when I heard that Jack Wagner was returning as Nick Marone to the canvas, I was truly excited. This is more than nostalgia; this is revitalizing for Brooke and exciting for The Bold and the Beautiful.

In my view, Nick was not just another name on the long list of Brooke's romances; he was different. He challenged her, and he respected her. Most importantly, he offered her something real that she wasn't always getting from Ridge.

I will never forget the connection between Nick and Brooke or how natural they felt together. Nick didn't put her on a pedestal, he rather treated her like a person and loved her for who she was. With Ridge, it was a tug-of-war and confusion over loyalty, fate, and his latest emotional need, but with Nick, there was a sense of solid ground.

A much-needed disruption from the stagnation on The Bold and the Beautiful

Let's be real: the Ridge-Brooke storyline is starting to feel more like a loop than a romance, despite its legendary status. Watching Brooke continue to pursue someone who shifts between her and Taylor, or whoever else catches his interest, undermines Brooke's character. It further diminishes the emotional weight of their once-powerful love story.

At this point, hearing "my Logan" so many times feels less meaningless than it once did. Nick's return to the show, rooted, confident, and ready to rattle some feathers, feels like a breath of fresh air. As Jack Wagner has said, he’s not back just for nostalgia's sake; he’s back with a singular purpose: to wake Brooke and help her break the cycle.

That thought alone gives me hope. Simply, it means an opportunity and good health for a character we have witnessed suffer. Plus, Wagner says there’s a “jaw-dropping” cliffhanger coming, and that proves that he’s not back just for the sake of a short-term stunt.

Nick could, and should, be the moment for Brooke to rediscover herself and move on without being cast aside by Ridge. From a narrative perspective, bringing back someone like Nick allows for all kinds of exciting new possibilities on The Bold and the Beautiful.

His history with not just Brooke, but Bridget, Taylor, and even the legacy of Stephanie, adds depths that newer characters don’t inherently possess, who would be wiping the slate clean.

There is depth there, and Wagner is a magnetic performer, so Nick is instantly captivating again. The Bold and the Beautiful needed a big shot of adrenaline, and they found it.

Brooke deserves a new chapter on The Bold and the Beautiful

I understand that there are Ridge and Brooke fans who believe in "destiny," but sometimes we cling to the idea simply because it feels safe and familiar.

Brooke shines best when she has been pushed to grow and is not sitting around waiting for Ridge to decide their future. Seeing her rediscover herself with Nick, someone who listens and respects her, and brings a silly, fun side to her, seems way overdue.

And, as a longtime viewer, I can already see it. Katherine Kelly Lang and Jack Wagner also have good chemistry. There is a different dynamic, a familiarity for certain, but also an underlying tension.

Yes, I absolutely think Nick’s return is what both Brooke and The Bold and the Beautiful needed. It's time to rewrite her story with someone who acknowledges her value, without the need to diminish her self-worth. If that means we move into a new chapter of “Brick,” I am happy to weigh anchor on The Bold and the Beautiful.
