Lil Wayne's highly anticipated album, Tha Carter VI, was released on June 6, 2025, and features various artists like Kodak Black, Bono, MGK, and 2 Chainz. Additionally, Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., also enlisted the help of his youngest sons, Kameron Carter and Neal Carter, aka Lil Novi, on the project, wth the two teenagers featuring in two separate songs.
For the unversed, Kameron Carter is the third of Lil Wayne's four children, born to actress Lauren London in September 2009. Neal is the youngest child, born to R&B singer Nivea.
Lil Wayne is the father to four children: Reginae, Dwayne, Kameron, and Neal, all born to different mothers, with the youngest two being born two months apart. During a 2019 interview with VladTV, singer Nivea, Neal's mother, explained that all the mothers were "cool with each other," saying:
"I found out the day I was confirmed pregnant with our son that he had another one that should be expected three months ahead of ours. It's still a testament to the type of man [Lil Wayne] is because all of his baby mothers, we're all cool with each other."
Kameron Carter was featured in Lil Wayne's mixtape
Much like his father and other brothers, Kameron Carter started dabbling in music at a young age. The 15-year-old was featured in Wayne's 2020 mixtape No Ceilings 3, rapping in the song Kam, which was reportedly named after him.
"Young Kam Carter and I got a lot to say/ My daddy from New Orleans and my mama from L.A./ I drive to the paint like I'm Dr. J/ Got a triple-double just the other day/ They ask me if I'm Kobe 'cause I hit the fadeaway/ Just scored a three-pointer like I'm B-J/ Shoutout to my sister Reginae/ Goin' so crazy like I'm FaZe Sway," Kameron rapped.
Additionally, he started attending award shows with his father and was spotted at the 2022 ESPY Awards. According to People Magazine, Kameron Carter and his father share a love for basketball and were spotted at an NBA game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Phoenix Suns sometime in 2023.
Kameron seemingly had a good relationship with Nipsey Hussle, who began dating his mother in 2013. Hussle and London share one child, Kross, born in 2016. The rapper was fatally shot outside his store in Los Angeles in 2019 when Kameron was about nine years old.
According to People Magazine, Kameron had also spoken during the late rapper's memorial service, recounting a dream he had about Hussle, saying the late rapper had greeted him with his nickname "Killa."
"I was in a paradise and I was playing in the ocean water when Ermias popped up right behind me. He said, 'What up killa,' 'cause that's my nickname to him. I turned around and I yelled his name and I gave him a hug. I told my mom about the dream and after I told her I was thinking about it. And I realized that Ermias told me what heaven was like. He told me it was paradise."
Recently, Kameron Carter reunited with his dad for the latter's latest album in Tha Carter series, rapping on the track Rari. Meanwhile, his half-brother Neal appeared in the song Mula Komin In.
Lil Wayne's Tha Carter VI was released nearly seven years after the previous instalment and is the New Orleans rapper's first solo project in five years. The 19-track album will debut live tonight as he is set to perform at Madison Square Garden in NYC, followed by a North American tour from June 30.
