A brief recap of Platonic season 2 episode 3

Season 2 of Apple TV+'s comedy Platonic continues with episode 3, The Bachelor Party, which premiered on August 13, 2025. The episode kicked off with Sylvia still upset at Jenna’s words from episode 2, while Will remains completely oblivious to the tension between the two.

But she chooses to put that on the back burner for now and focuses on their old college friend, Wildcard, coming into town. However, the duo soon discover that Wildcard has mellowed with age despite his feeble attempts to maintain his party-animal reputation.

Their reunion also leads to secret confessions as Sylvia confides in WildCard about her issues with Jenna, while Will (Seth Rogen) does the same about his relationship. But the secrets do not last long as Sylvia finds out about Will’s issues while Wildcard eventually tells Will about Sylvia calling Jenna a “b***h”.

That quickly leads to both Will and Sylvia having another argument, although after a night of revelations for Will, he goes to her house to talk to her the next morning. She apologises for what she said, they make up, but Will admits that while Jenna is a good person, he needs to break things off.

To do so, he needs to go to San Diego and does not want to do it alone, so Sylvia (Rose Byrne) agrees to come with him for moral support.

What to expect from Platonic season 2 episode 4

Following the bachelor party revelations and Will's decision to break up with Jenna in episode 3, Platonic season 2 episode 4 is bound to bring more dramatic fallout. The upcoming episode will likely be golf-themed and could create the perfect environment for more comedic complications.

And with Sylvia also travelling alongside Will to San Diego, there is a likelihood that the two will get into something that further makes the matter worse for both parties.

The episode appears to take place at a golf course in Rancho Palos Verdes, suggesting a potential confrontation with Jenna's father on the links. Beyond that, Charlie is preparing for his appearance on Jeopardy! and thus the episode could likely touch upon either his appearance or his preparations.
