Valorant Champions 2023 has been showcasing some amazing matches recently. Heading into Day 15, only three teams remained, which were Paper Rex, Evil Geniuses, and LOUD. Paper Rex having already made their way to the Grand Finals, a decider elimination matchup between Evil Geniuses and LOUD was required to determine the other finalist.

The best-of-five (Bo5) series went all the way. Evil Geniuses started off with a great lead as they were able to win the first two maps and get ahead by 2-0. However, LOUD later won the next two maps, bringing the series to a 2-2 score. Finally, it came down to the decider map, Bind, where Evil Geniuses outplayed LOUD and got themselves a rematch against Paper Rex in Valorant Champions 2023.

After the match, Sportskeeda Esports got the opportunity to talk to LOUD' aspas and ask him about his experience in VCT 2023. He responded saying:

"It was a very extensive and tiresome year for us"

LOUD had a bunch of ups and downs throughout the year. They started off strong with a 2nd place finish at LOCK//IN and continued that level of performance by winning the VCT Americas League.

That said, their team could not win a single match in Masters Tokyo and saw an early elimination. Coming into Valorant Champions 2023, LOUD was surrounded by a lot of doubts, which solidified even further after losing their first match against DRX.

Regardless, they bounced back and made an incredible lower bracket by defeating some top teams like NAVI, Fnatic, and EDward Gaming, securing themselves a top-three finish.

During the post-match conference, Sportskeeda Esports asked LOUD's star Duelist, aspas, how he would sum up his experience in the 2023 season of VCT. Here's what he had to say:

"So overall I would say that it was a very extensive and tiresome year for us. Despite, we were able to get a lot of good results. We started well with LOCK//IN, we won the Americas tournament and unfortunately in Tokyo we had like a stumble. But when we started here, we start and ended up going to the lowers but overall during the run here in Champs we evolved a lot. We ended up being able to keep within the bubble and just perform better and better focusing on what we had."

With LOUD's defeat against Evil Geniuses, they have been eliminated from the event. Thus, the Grand Final of Valorant Champions 2023 will be between Paper Rex and Evil Geniuses. This match will take place on August 26 at 12 pm PDT/ 9 pm CEST/ 12:30 am IST (next day).
