'Mr. Wonderful' Paul Orndorff enjoyed a run with WWE in the mid-80s, and will always be remembered for competing in the main event of the first WrestleMania, albeit in a losing effort. Orndorff also had a babyface run in WWE, and teamed with Hulk Hogan, who was once his foe. He turned on Hogan soon after, and kicked off a feud with 'The Hulkster,' which saw Orndorff using Hulk's music while coming out for his own matches. Although he never won WWE gold, Orndorff was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005

#6 Harley Race

After successful stints in the AWA and the NWA, Harley Race made his way to WWE and became the second King of the Ring winner in 1986. Following the win, he became known as 'King' Harley Race. One of his most notable feuds was against Junkyard Dog, which culminated in a match at the third edition of WrestleMania in 1987.

Race then went on to feud against the likes of Hulk Hogan and Jim Duggan, but never bagged Championship gold. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004.

Race is an eight-time NWA world heavyweight champion.

#5 Jake Roberts

Regarded by many as one of the greatest talkers in the history of this business, Jake Roberts was the complete package, and it's a genuine surprise that he never won a single title during his WWE stint.

Roberts, contrary to other great mic-workers like The Rock and Ric Flair, used to boast a completely toned down and calculated demeanor while addressing his opponents. He competed in several WrestleMania events, with his most memorable outing being a match against Ted Dibiase at WrestleMania VI, which saw 'The Million Dollar Man' come out as the victor. Roberts was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014.

Roberts is also often hailed as one of the best ring psychologists of all time. His knowledge of the business was unlike that of any other peer.

#4 Jimmy Snuka

Despite making a name for himself in various promotions, Jimmy Snuka is best known for his stint in WWE during the early to mid 80s. Initially, he debuted as a villain under the tutelage of Lou Albano, but soon turned into a crowd favorite and accompanied Hulk Hogan and Mr. T for the main event of the first WrestleMania. Before his WrestleMania outing, Snuka had a heated rivalry against Roddy Piper, which kicked off after Piper hit Snuka on the head with a coconut in one of the most iconic visuals in WWE history. Snuka was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 1996, but never won championship gold while with the company.

Snuka redefined the word 'high flyer' and his superfly splash from the top of the cage against Don Muraco will always be etched in WWE history.
