There have been a few Superstars who have returned from injuries to shock the WWE Universe in recent times. First, it was Daniel Bryan, who was forced to retire back in 2016, but he returned two years later, to the surprise of millions of fans.

Another Superstar and WWE Hall of Famer who was forced to call it quits early in his career was Edge, who retired in 2011. But, the Rated-R Superstar made a return at this year's Royal Rumble match and will be a part of WrestleMania 36.

A Superstar whose WWE career was cut short at a young age is Paige, who retired on the SmackDown after WrestleMania 34 in 2018. The youngest Divas Champion had to retire due to neck injuries, which brought an end to a promising career.

Paige has still been involved with WWE, first as the General Manager of SmackDown, and now more recently as an analyst on the Backstage show on FOX. The returns of Daniel Bryan and Edge to the in-ring competition will give Paige hope to return to the ring, and a potential return could stun the wrestling world.
