#4. Eric Bischoff

Eric Bischoff was the first RAW General Manager back in 2002 and was signed to WWE for the purpose of the role. Bischoff became the arrogant heel on-screen that WWE fans were used to seeing in WCW, but he would rotate between a face and a heel manager dependent on the person he was feuding with at any one time.

Interestingly, Bischoff had a lengthy reign as manager and was only "fired" from his role almost three years later when Vince McMahon famously threw him into a garbage truck.

Over the past 17 years, Bischoff has made sporadic appearances for WWE, become an executive producer of IMPACT Wrestling, and later returned to WWE in 2016. In late 2019, Bischoff was fired from his role as Executive Producer of SmackDown and replaced by Bruce Pritchard. The former WWE star then went on to make several appearances for AEW in the fall of 2020.

#3. Former WWE Champion Kurt Angle

After a hugely successful run in WWE where he was a former World Champion, Kurt Angle left WWE in 2006 and later went on to work for IMPACT Wrestling. Angle returned to WWE in 2017 when he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, and the following night on RAW he was appointed General Manager.

Angle then stepped into a storyline where he announced Jason Jordan as his son, before Jordan then suffered an injury and was written off WWE TV. Angle was then able to return to the ring and was part of some interesting feuds with Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, and Baron Corbin, before being sent on vacation by McMahon and replaced by Corbin.

Angle later retired from the ring following his WrestleMania match against Corbin in 2019. Angle has since made several appearances for WWE and NXT but is currently focused on his health and his nutritional business.
