10 WWE Superstars and their Harry Potter counterparts

Cena is Snape. Read on to know why

Harry Potter fans across the globe are once again enjoying the taste of their favorite magical world thanks to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. In no time, it has turned into the fastest-selling book in the United Kingdom for this decade, and it shows that the love for Harry Potter is still alive and strong.

And as we, professional wrestling fans, always love to do some crossover fantasies, we are going to compare WWE superstars with Harry Potter characters. So here are 10 WWE superstars and their Harry Potter counterparts.

#10 Professor Albus Dumbledore – The Undertaker

The guy that everyone respects

Albus Dumbledore is considered to be one of the greatest wizards of all time. Also, he is probably the best headmaster that Hogwarts has seen. These two factors are applicable to Undertaker as well.

He is one of the best performers in the entire wrestling business and at the same time, Undertaker is a locker room leader that shows the path for everyone.

Both Taker and Dumbledore command respect whenever they show up, and if there is any problem in the locker room or Hogwarts, you go and see them depending on where the problem happens. The scariness that they project is another similarity between the two.

#9 Tom Riddle/ Voldemort – Chris Benoit

Two phases of life

The life of Chris Benoit can be seen in two separate phases, the Tom Riddle phase, and the Voldemort Phase. Both Benoit and Riddle had an immense amount of skill. While Riddle, as a student, impressed his professors and classmates, Benoit, as a wrestler, earned respect from all over the world for excelling in his art.

But then, things took a tragic turn. Despite being considered as one of the greatest, people hesitated to speak the names of Chris Benoit and Voldemort. It’s painful to know that a certain decision could change someone’s image forever, and both Benoit and Voldemort are proof of the same.

#8 Alastor Moody – Seth Rollins

Brave and tough

Both Alastor Moody and Seth Rollins are extremely talented. They are brave, tough and knows how to survive in a different range of situations. When things are going their way, they might seem like people who trust you, whereas in reality, they are in constant vigilance.

There is a certain lack of trust in things they do and this forces them to keep a lot of secrets since they don’t want their enemies to smell weakness.

It is easy to set off Moody and Rollins but then again, they excelled at things they did. Thus a good mix of being paranoid, talented, and untrusting makes Alastor Moody and Seth Rollins similar to each other.

#7 Draco Malfoy – Kevin Owens/Chris Jericho

Filled with Arrogance

Arrogant, with a bully-mentality, narcissistic and someone who sees himself above all others, Draco Malfoy could easily be compared with the likes of Owens and Jericho. Despite having all these traits, all three men were intelligent and are able to deduce things that most of us would miss out on.

This shows that they are indeed talented, but it is their own attitude and way of dealing with people that gets them into trouble and attracts hate.

They are known to constantly give the good guys a tough time out there, and also had the urge to prove themselves and get hold of power.

#6 Sirius Black – Sami Zayn

Pure to the soul

There are only a few characters that are pure to the soul in Harry Potter and Sirius Black is one among them. He was an ideal student and at the same time, he was someone that would do anything for his friendship and anything against people that betray.

The explosiveness of Sirius’ character came due to his desire to get hold of Peter Pettigrew. And similarly, Sami Zayn had someone in his life: Kevin Owens.

I’m not saying that Owens is Pettigrew, but on context, Owens and Pettigrew were characters that could make Sirius and Zayn go into overdrive mode. Otherwise they are clear cut babyface characters and it’s hard to hate them.

#5 Ronald Weasley – Dean Ambrose

The hair works too

Finding someone that fits the traits of Ron was incredibly hard. Because he had this certain amount of goofiness which was hard to find in the current roster. But if we take this away, Ron has similarities with Dean Ambrose.

Both Ron and Ambrose are funny but sometimes, their funny jokes could turn into insults. Ambrose is someone that could do anything for his loyal friends and so is Ron.

Emotionally immature at all times, both Ron and Ambrose showcased their fierce temper when occasions called for it. There are differences as well, but the similarities outweighed the differences and Ambrose seemed like a good fit for Ron.

#4 Hermione Granger – Becky Lynch

Talented and humble

Hermione Granger could’ve been any hard working woman from the WWE roster that does not have a family background in the business. Charlotte and Natalya were immediately eliminated due to being ‘born into the business’ which left Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Becky Lynch as the front runners to become the counterpart of Hermione.

But as Sasha had a certain sense of attitude in her and Bayley was more inclined toward the fun part, the pick went for Becky. Just like Hermione, Becky is an intelligent person who is excellent at her job.

At the same time, she has the right amount of composure about her and knows how to carry herself in the business.

#3 Neville Longbottom – The Rock

Zero to Hero

Rather than looking at the personal traits here, we are going to look at the career trajectory to map Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Neville Longbottom. Neville came from a ‘pure blood’ family and similarly, The Rock came from a wrestling family.

Both had an immense amount of pressure on them to reach up to the potential of their fathers and it took them hard on initial stages.

Neville struggled in Hogwarts to get the limelight while The Rock struggled with his initial Rocky Maivia gimmick and both were considered to be goofy. Later, the scenario changed as both Neville and Rock showed their importance to the world and established themselves as major characters.

#2 Severus Snape – John Cena

Unwanted criticism

Now, this is bound to be a controversial pick, but think about it. Snape is someone that had some great emotional control and knew how to handle situations. In fact, he was also one of the greatest wizards out there.

It was his love for Lily Potter that changed everything. He dedicated his entire life for Lily and managed to attract hate from all the sides.

It is a similar situation with Cena. His love and commitment towards the WWE is unmatched and despite this, there are people who hate him. But then again, those people who realize the real value of Cena, start to respect him just like everyone respected Snape when they came to know about the eternal love that he carried inside for Lily.

#1 Harry Potter – Roman Reigns

The chosen one

Similar to the Snape – Cena comparison, this is another choice that could kick start some controversial debates in the comment section, but there are some great similarities between Harry and Reigns.

"Hmm. Difficult. Very difficult. Plenty of courage, I see. Not a bad mind either. There's talent, oh my goodness, yes — and a nice thirst to prove yourself, now that's interesting... So where shall I put you?" – Sorting Hat said after looking into Harry’s mind.

Reigns has all of it including the pressure of being ‘the chosen one’. And just like certain sections of people started hating Harry for always having the easy path and running around as the ‘chosen one’, Reigns also has his haters.

But then again, that does not take away the hard work, commitment, and talent that Reigns has. Reigns, like Harry, might not be the best at what he does, but he is certainly up there.

Harry was accused to be arrogant and impulsive at times, and so is Reigns. Both are loyal and become extremely frightening when pushed to the limits.

Don’t hesitate to take it to the comment section if you think that the picks could be improved.
