When did Shelton Benjamin defeat John Cena?

Shelton Benjamin teamed with Albert and Bull Buchanan to defeat Batista, Doug Basham, and John Cena in a six-man tag team match at a WWE live event in September 2002.

Two weeks later, Benjamin recorded another victory over John Cena when he joined forces with Bull Buchanan to defeat Shannon Moore and the future 16-time World Champion at a WWE SmackDown live event.

Benjamin’s only televised triumph against John Cena came on a May 2006 episode of WWE RAW when he teamed with Triple H and Chris Masters to defeat Cena and RVD.

When did Shelton Benjamin defeat The Prototype?

As well as his OVW Southern Tag Team Championship triumph over The Prototype, Shelton Benjamin won five singles matches against John Cena’s former persona.

All five of those victories came in dark matches in June 2002 before episodes of WWE RAW and Sunday Night Heat.

Five years later, The Animal won the WWE Championship from John Cena in an impromptu match at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

Batista also picked up a win over John Cena in a non-title match at SummerSlam 2008.

When did Batista defeat The Prototype?

The Prototype defeated Leviathan (aka Batista) at an OVW event in February 2002 to win the OVW Heavyweight Championship for the one and only time in his career.

One month later, Batista’s Leviathan character defeated The Prototype in a non-title live event match via disqualification.
