10 WWE superstars who have not won a single PPV match in the last 12 months 

Exactly 12 months ago, all the WWE superstars were prepping up for the Backlash pay-per-view. However, their efforts went in vain as the show was hailed as the worst pay-per-view ever by many fans and critics. It was even reported that the fans in attendance were leaving the arena amidst the main event match of the night between Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe.

To conclude we can say that the pay-per-view did full justice to its name and helped the WWE generate 'Backlash' from the fans. Such was the backlash from the WWE Universe that the company cancelled the Backlash pay-per-view in 2019.

However, in this article we will not talk about WWE Backlash but we will discuss the aftermath of that pay-per-view that is how the superstars have fared on WWE pay-per-views after that show. As mentioned ahead, it has been exactly an year since that night and there have been some superstars who have not won a single pay-per-view match in the time duration.

Here are those 10 superstars who have not won a single pay-per-view match in the last 12 months -

#10 Jinder Mahal

Pay-per-view matches in last 12 months - 4

The former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal has fallen way below his ranks ever since he moved to Monday Night RAW in the 2018 Superstar Shakeup. He has not won a single pay-per-view match since he won the fatal-4 way United States Championship Match at WrestleMania 34.

In the last 12 months, The Modern Day Maharaja has been a part of 4 pay-per-view matches and has lost all of them. His first defeat came against Roman Reigns at the 2018 Money In The Bank pay-per-view.

Next, he reached the final of WWE Mixed Match Challenge II with Alicia Fox only to lose to the team of R-Truth and Carmella at the TLC pay-per-view. His final two losses came in the Royal Rumble and the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal matches of 2019.

#9 Ali

Pay-per-view matches in the last 12 months - 4

SmackDown Live's Ali was a part of the 205 Live roster in 2018. He impressed one and all with his in-ring performances on the purple brand, but it seems like he could not impress Vince McMahon when we have look at his pay-per-view record. Ali has wrestled on 4 different pay-per-views in the last 12 months but he has not been able to emerge victorious at any one of them.

He made his pay-per-view debut at Survivor Series 2018 where he lost to Buddy Murphy in a Cruiserweight Championship Match. In 2019, he made his first ever appearance in the Royal Rumble match but fell short of main-eventing WrestleMania.

Ali then battled in a triple threat match for the WWE Championship at Fastlane but he could not capture the title. At WrestleMania, he lost in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royale as well.

The heart and soul of the Cruiserweight division will be in action at the upcoming Money In The Bank pay-per-view.

However, the odds of him emerging as Mr. Money In The Bank of 2019 are not good.

#8 Ember Moon

Pay-per-view matches in the last 12 months - 4

NXT graduate Ember Moon has been on the main roster since the night after WrestleMania 34 but she has failed to register a single pay-per-victory on the main roster till now. She has competed in 4 matches but never has the match ended with Ember's hand raised.

Her debut pay-per-view appearance came at the 2018 edition of Money In The Bank, where she took part in the Women's Money In The Bank ladder match. Alexa Bliss won the briefcase that night.

Next she lost the #1 Contender's Battle Royal at the Evolution pay-per-view despite surviving till the very end. She came up short in the Women's Royal Rumble and the WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal to continue her losing streak at pay-per-views.

The Shenom is all set to compete in the Women's Money In The Bank ladder match of 2019 next.

#7 Lana

Pay-per-view matches in the last 12 months - 4

The Ravishing Russian Lana has never been amongst the top female superstars of Vince McMahon's wrestling promotion but she has managed to sneak into the match cards of multiple pay-per-views in the last one year.

She was a part of the 2018 Women's Money In The Bank ladder match which she obviously lost. Then, she suffered a defeat in a mixed tag team match where she teamed up with Rusev against Andrade and Zelina Vega.

At WWE Evolution, she was eliminated early in the Women's Battle Royal and finally at WrestleMania 35 she lost in the WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal as well. She was supposed to be a part of the Royal Rumble match as well but a last-minute injury caused Becky Lynch to replace her in the match.

These defeats have surely depreciated Lana's value on the main roster as she was ignored for the 2019 Women's Money In The Bank ladder match.

#6 and #5 Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan

Pay-per-view matches in the last 12 months - 5

Former tag team partners and members of the Riott Squad Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan have won zero pay-per-view matches in the past year. Their leader Ruby Riott, won a singles match against Bayley at Backlash 2018, though.

Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan's first loss came at the Super Show Down pay-per-view where the team of Ronda Rousey and the Bella Twins manhandled the Riott Squad. Next, the Riott Squad lost to the team to Natalya, Sasha Banks and Bayley at WWE Evolution.

Liv and Sarah then took part in three elimination type matches next, namely the Royal Rumble Match, the Elimination Chamber Match (Women's Tag Team Titles Match) and the WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal. However, their all 3 attempts to win a pay-per-view match were in vain.

Morgan is no longer a part of the Riott Squad as the group was disintegrated during the 2019 Superstar Shakeup.

#4 Sonya Deville

Pay-per-view matches in the last 12 months - 5

Another member of the women's division, Sonya Deville has had poor luck when it comes to winning matches on pay-per-views. She has made it to the match card of WWE pay-per-views five times since Backlash 2018 but the former Absolution member has lost all 5 of her matches.

The first of her five pay-per-view losses came at the Evolution pay-per-view where she failed to win the #1 Contender's Battle Royal. Next, she was amongst the 5 members of the SmackDown Team who lost the 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Match to RAW.

She then failed to win the Royal Rumble match, the Women's Tag Team Titles inside Elimination Chamber (with Mandy Rose) and also the WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal to take her losing streak to 5.

It seems like Sonya handed over the Money In The Bank ladder match spot on purpose to her partner Mandy Rose so as to avoid extending her losing streak.

#3 Mandy Rose

Pay-per-view matches in last 12 months - 6

The Golden Goddess Mandy Rose has been amongst the top female superstars on the blue brand but her pay-per-view record of the last 12 months does not reflect the same. Mandy Rose has taken part in 6 pay-per-view matches in the last 1 year and has lost all of them.

Her first defeat came in a #1 Contender's Battle Royal match at WWE Evolution. Next month, she was a part of the SmackDown Women's Team which lost the 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Match to RAW.

In 2019, she lost the Royal Rumble match and then failed to win the Women's Tag Team Titles with her partner Sonya Deville inside the Elimination Chamber. Then she faced an embarrassing defeat at the hands of Asuka at Fastlane followed by an unsuccessful attempt to win the WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal at the Show of Shows.

#2 Naomi

Pay-per-view matches in the last 12 months - 7

The former 2-time SmackDown Women's Champion Naomi has been demoted to the undercard ever since the likes of Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey took over the reins of the division. Naomi has failed to keep her momentum going on the main roster and this statement can further be proven right by having a look at her pay-per-view record in the last 12 months.

The former member of Team B.A.D. Naomi has lost all of her last 7 pay-per-view matches. She first failed to win the Money In The Bank contract in the multi-woman ladder match, followed by two pay-per-view defeats in the month of October. She even failed to inspire the SmackDown Women's Team to victory in the Survivor Series Match.

In 2019, she has lost the Royal Rumble match, the Women's Tag Team Championship Match inside Elimination Chamber (with Carmella) and the WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal.

She will return to the Money In The Bank pay-per-view this year with the goal of ending her losing streak.

#1 Rusev

Pay-per-view matches in the last 12 months - 8

The surprise topper of this list is The Bulgarian Brute, Rusev. The former United States Champion had developed an undefeated pay-per-view streak when he arrived in the WWE however, his pay-per-view record of late has been terrible to say the least.

Rusev has lost his previous 18 pay-per-view matches of which 8 have come in the last 365 days.

He had taken part in the Money In The Bank ladder match of 2018 but he failed; after that he lost a WWE Championship bout to AJ Styles at Extreme Rules. Andrade and Zelina Vega were the next to hand Rusev a pay-per-view defeat at SummerSlam 2018 and the New Day conquered the challenge from Rusev Day at Hell in a Cell 2018.

Shinsuke Nakamura then defeated him at Crown Jewel and Royal Rumble before he joined forces with Rusev and suffered losses at Fastlane and WrestleMania 35.
