#10 Melina to appear for Evolution
The Evolution leaked match card looks awful to say the least. While we can't confirm if it's a fan-made match card or the real one, an astonishing name in it is that of the former WWE Divas Champion Melina.
Melina is currently competing in the Australian independent circuit and even has gold around her waist. Surprisingly, the rumored match card features her in singles action against Naomi. Joe Peiseich of Barnburner's Fired Up Podcast speculated on the matter and said the following (H/T: Ringsidenews.com):
“You mentioned Melina, they are in contact with Melina who by the way won a title in Australia last week. She has been impressive and they may look for her not only for a one-time only deal to sign a short-term deal with WWE.”
Melina had won the Women's Championship twice and the Divas Championship thrice during her stay in the WWE. It is surprising to note that she wasn't called at the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble which featured many prominent wrestlers of the past like Michelle McCool, Beth Phoenix, Lita and Trish Stratus among others. An appearance at Evolution would ensure that the company hasn't forgotten about her.
