2 superstars who should be John Cena's opponent at WrestleMania 35 and 2 who should not

John Cena is undoubtedly one of the most decorated superstars in the history of the WWE. He has held the WWE Championship for 16 times, and has also won the United States Championship and Tag Team Championships multiple times in his career.

Big Match John has also been a big part of WWE's grandest event, WrestleMania. He has battled with the likes of The Rock, The Undertaker, Bray Wyatt, The Miz, and many other superstars at The Grandest Stage Of Them All.

The Leader of Cenation is currently on a hiatus since he is busy with his projects outside the WWE. However, he is expected to be a part of the WrestleMania event in 2019. Cena's last appearance on WWE TV was way back in October when he teamed up with Bobby Lashley to defeat Kevin Owens and Elias at WWE Super Show-Down in Melbourne, Australia.

A WrestleMania match featuring John Cena is always one of the marquee matches of the event, and here are 2 superstars who should be Cena's opponents at WM 35, and 2 who should not.

#1 Should be - The Undertaker

This match deserves a part two
This match deserves a part two

John Cena clashed with The Deadman at WrestleMania 34 after 'Taker finally answered his calls for a WM match. However, The Phenom squashed Cena in minutes of their first WM match ever. This has led to the fans speculating another match between the two icons at The Grandest Stage.

The Undertaker has shockingly made frequent appearances on WWE TV lately, and has feuded with Triple H and Shawn Michaels, along with battling Rusev at The Greatest Royal Rumble.

Perhaps, a retirement match between The Undertaker and Cena would be a great way to end WM 35, as it would be one of the most unpredictable matches of all time.

#1 Should not be - Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins has had one of the best reigns as the Intercontinental Champion, and The Architect is expected to be the champion until at least WM 35. A number of fans are speculating that John Cena will defeat Seth Rollins at WM to become a Grand Slam Champion by winning the IC title.

However, the WWE should give Rollins a better opponent than Cena since the two have shared the ring earlier, and the fans deserve a fresh match. They have battled on several pay-per-views, and a feud between Cena and Rollins makes no sense.

It would be better if Seth is allowed to defend his title against a top heel from RAW like Baron Corbin or Bobby Lashley. Or perhaps the WWE Creative could continue the Ambrose vs Rollins saga until WM 35 where the two brothers would finally settle the score.

#2 Should be - The Demon King Finn Balor

This would finally re-establish Finn Balor as a top star
This would finally re-establish Finn Balor as a top star

Finn Balor was the first ever WWE Universal Champion who had to relinquish the title due to an untimely shoulder injury. However, ever since the Irish superstar has made his return to WWE TV, he has not received the booking he should have had. He has been booked like a lower mid-card superstar who wins random matches on RAW just to lose on pay-per-views.

Balor has never had a singles match at WrestleMania, and a singles match against someone like John Cena would help WWE establish Balor as a top star once again. The leader of the Balor Club could also bring his alter ego, The Demon King, after being tempted by John Cena to use him at WrestleMania 35.

Cena could play a bit of a heelish character in this feud, just like his previous feud against Roman Reigns, which would help elevate Balor as a babyface.

#2 Should not be - Brock Lesnar

Well, it is no secret that Brock Lesnar vs John Cena for the Universal title will be a show stealer at WrestleMania 35, but putting the company's top title on another part-timer would be a questionable booking decision. The fans are fed up with Brock Lesnar's constant absenteeism, and want a champion who would at least show up every week on RAW.

Brock Lesnar and John Cena have also battled in various matches on pay-per-views, and given that Cena has only a few years left in the ring, it would be better if the 16-time World Champion is booked in a fresh feud.
