3 Fantastic botches and mistakes you missed this week on Monday Night Raw (August 5th, 2019)

Last night's episode of Monday Night Raw included a number of interesting segments that will now only add to the build-up to this weekend's SummerSlam event. Apart from the usual stars of the Monday Night Raw roster, legends like Kurt Angle, Trish Stratus and Shawn Michaels were all included in the show.

Angle was attacked by The Fiend after Trish Stratus failed to tag into her opening tag team match when she teamed with Natalya against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. Shawn Michaels was part of the contract signing between The Miz and Dolph Ziggler which later lead to Goldberg being announced as Ziggler's opponent for Sunday night.

Even though the legends were taking over Raw this week, there were a number of current stars who were unable to step up their game to legendary status, whilst WWE's production team once again made an interesting mistake.

#3. The Kabuki Warriors?

The Kabuki Warriors fought for the Women's Tag Team Championships on Raw this week after taking advantage of The Wild Card Rule, but before Asuka and Kairi Sane were able to make their way to the ring, the company already botched their entrance.

The Japanese stars are currently being managed by former Divas Champion Paige and as seen from the photo below, the company put up a graphic that names Kairi Sane and Paige as two of the women on the stage, but the other is apparently Io Shirai.

The NXT star isn't part of the Kabuki Warriors at present even though she could be in the future, but for right now, Asuka was the woman who was on stage last night and the company put up the wrong graphic for the former SmackDown Women's Champion.

#2. The Women's Tag Team Championship match

The Women's Tag Team Championships were defended last night on Raw, in a fatal four-way elimination match that saw Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss walk out with the title for the first time. The match included The IIconics as well as Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville and The Kabuki Warriors and was one of the sour notes of the night.

As seen from the many botches added below, there were a number of mistakes throughout the match including Mandy Rose dropping Asuka when trying to perform her finisher and Kairi Sane forgetting her spot and making Sonya Deville look stupid for not attempting to save her partner from the Asuka Lock.

The ending of the match wasn't any better either as the botches seemed to keep on coming, but hopefully, the company has learned from their mistakes and won't stage a rematch of this at SummerSlam in a few days time.

#1. Charlotte threw herself into the turnbuckle

This week on Monday Night Raw, the WWE Universe was given the treat of seeing Trish Stratus return to the ring, even though the former seven-time Women's Champion never actually tagged in to the match.

Charlotte teamed with Becky Lynch to take on the team of Natalya and Trish Stratus in order to set up their two singles matches this weekend at SummerSlam and once again there were a number of botches in the match.

The most noticeable botch was Charlotte throwing herself headfirst into the bottom turnbuckle, which didn't have enough power to take her that far. Natalya was forced to carry the match for her team and fought so hard at one point that her hair actually fell out, but she still wasn't able to pick up the win, since she refused to break the submission on Lynch and forced the disqualification.
