3 hints WWE dropped at Survivor Series

It was one hell of a show
It was one hell of a show

Survivor Series, one of the biggest events of the year, was a tri-band collision this year, and it was an exceptional show with several good matches. Although it was the maiden Survivor Series for NXT, the developmental brand stole the show, winning the battle of brand supremacy.

The main show kicked off with the traditional women's Survivor Series match. Led by Rhea Ripley, the Black and Yellow Brand picked up a huge victory. Roderick Strong proved to be the superior mid-card champion, pinning the Intercontinental Champion, Nakamura. Both world titles of SmackDown and RAW were defended successfully, and Adam Cole also retained his NXT Championship against Pete Dunne.

Producing one of the best matches of the night, Roman Reigns won the men's traditional Survivor Series match for Team SmackDown, pinning the last survivor of NXT, Keith Lee. The women main evented the show, as Shayna Baszler showed her worth as the NXT Women's Champion, winning the women's triple threat bout.

The fans might have missed some hints WWE gave throughout the show. Let's talk about three hints WWE dropped at Survivor Series.

#3 Daniel Bryan and The Miz will have a feud soon

Daniel Bryan had an insurmountable task in his hands, as he faced the Fiend for the Universal Championship. The five-time WWE Champion gave a great performance, but it wasn't enough to take out The Fiend. When Bryan got trapped in the Mandible Claw, he lost the bout.

A major hint was dropped before the Universal Title bout when The Miz confronted Daniel Bryan in the backstage area. The A-Lister encouraged Bryan to beat The Fiend, for the betterment of both their families. However, Bryan didn't react well and euphemistically told him to leave the place.

Bryan and The Miz already faced each other on SmackDown, following their heated segment. If Bryan doesn't get a rematch against The Fiend, the former is expected to start a feud with The Miz.

#2 Rhea Ripley will be a huge star on the main roster

Rhea Ripley, the leader of the women's NXT team, announced her team after NXT War Games, consisting of Bianca Belair, Candice LeRae, Toni Storm, Io Shirai and herself. Watching the team members of NXT, it certainly looked capable enough of winning the Survivor Series match, and they did just that at Allstate Arena. The captain led from the front, winning the match for her team.

It was an action-packed match with some jaw-dropping manoeuvres. After a rift between Asuka and Charlotte Flair, the latter was pinned, while the former left the ring. Sasha Banks and Rhea Ripley were the final two women remaining in the match and Ripley picked up an emphatic victory over Banks, owing to an assist from Candice Le Rae and Io Shirai.

Winning a match against the women of two main roster brands wasn't a cakewalk. Rhea Ripley pinned Sasha Banks, who is a four-time women's champion, and one of the prolific names of the women's division. Moreover, Ripley also won the triple threat match on SmackDown last week, when she defeated both Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks. WWE certainly hinted that they see a lot of potential in Ripley. When Ripley moves to the main roster, she will probably dominate the women's division.

#1 It's not the end between Shayna Baszler and Becky Lynch

The women's triple threat match between Shayna Baszler, Bayley, and Becky Lynch was one the most-awaited matches of Survivor Series, considering the extraordinary build-up of the bout, and the three champions didn't let down the fans. Similar to WrestleMania 35, the Triple Threat Match main evented the show. Tapping the SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley out, Shayna Baszler walked out with a victory.

Before choking out Bayley, the NXT Women's Champion put Becky Lynch through the announce table, which allowed Baszler to secure the victory. Having proved herself as the superior women's champion in WWE, The Queen of Spades celebrated the victory standing on the announce table, but things didn't end well for her. Becky Lynch, who was laying down there, viciously assaulted Baszler and stood tall with her title to close the show.

Lynch's attack hinted that the Survivor Series match is not the last meeting between the two women, and they will meet each other again somewhere down the line. When Baszler moves to the main roster, Becky Lynch could be her first target. Given Baszler's association with Ronda Rousey, the two MMA Horsewomen could team up against Becky Lynch in the future.
