Chad Gable is currently going through a new phase in his WWE career. A bunch of detrimental remarks and silly jokes against Gable launched an underdog campaign for the man himself. Nobody had thought that Gable would make it so far in this year's King of the Ring Tournament.

But after last night's show, it looks like Gable might have a real shot at winning this tournament after all. He needs to defeat Elias in the semi-finals next week, and it seems like Elias' purpose in the entire tournament was to be a huge roadblock in Gable's path to the finals.

After all, why else would you have Elias go over Ali in their King of the Ring matchup last night?

Whatever the case may be, it looks like Chad Gable will leave a mark during this year's KOTR Tournament, and let us hope that his career picks up steam after everything is said and done.
