Even though the previous episode of WWE's flagship show, Monday Night Raw, was not extraordinary, it did live up to the expectation of WWE fans on most fronts. While the show had its fair share of shocks and surprises, it had hardly any dull moments at all.

From The Fiend paying a surprise visit to attack Jerry 'The King' Lawler to Sasha Banks' open forum segment, the show featured some exciting and enthralling segments. Also, The Viper Randy Orton showing up to form an alliance with The Revival to beat the living daylights out of The New Day was another major development of the show.

However, the duo of Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman winning the Raw Tag Team Championship after defeating The OC was easily the highlight of the show. And this recent development has certainly spiced up things between the duo.

Given the show received positive reviews from fans as well as critics, WWE would like to continue with their good work when Raw comes live from the Smoothie King Center, New Orleans, Louisiana next week. While the other first-round marches of the King of the Ring are set to take place on the upcoming episode, it would be interesting to see what's next for Rollins and Strowman.

So, without further ado, in this article, we take a look at 3 interesting things which could happen on the upcoming episode of Raw.

#3 The Fiend costs The Miz his qualifying match against Baron Corbin

On the previous episode of Raw, The Fiend returned to attack Hall of Famer, Jerry 'The King' Lawler. However, after decimating Balor at SummerSlam, Wyatt is not part of any feud at the current moment. Nonetheless, all this could change in the upcoming episode of Raw.

As I have said before, The Miz has not been involved in any solid storyline for quite some time now. As a matter of fact, The A-lister has not been a part of a few major pay-per-views in the past few months or so and thus, a solid feud against The Fiend with gripping storyline could give new direction to his career.

Thus, WWE could have The Fiend cost The Miz his King of the Ring qualifying match against Baron Corbin next week to lay down the breadcrumbs for an epic and intense feud for the following days.

#2 The remaining matches of the first round of King of the Ring tournament

The remaining two matches of the first round Raw matches - Ricochet versus Drew McIntyre and The Miz versus Baron Corbin - are scheduled to take place on the upcoming episode of Raw. In case you did not know, the likes of Samoa Joe and Cedric Alexander have already qualified for the second round of the tournament after defeating Cesaro and Sami Zayn in the first round qualifying matches last week on Raw.

Even though it is going to be quite a battle between Ricochet and McIntyre, you would expect the latter to walk out as the winner, given he is the hot favorite to win the tournament. Furthermore, given the possibility of Styles vs Ricochet for Clash of Champions, who knows, potential interference from AJ Styles costing Ricochet his match could be in plans for this Monday night.

On the other hand, the match between The Miz and Corbin could be the makings of something huge. Yes, creative could have Wyatt cost The A-Lister his match to lay down the foundation for an epic feud. On top of that, given WWE's love for Corbin, one should expect him to qualify for the next round.

#1 Differences continue to emerge between Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins

The duo of Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins defeated The OC last week on Raw to become the new Raw Tag Team Champions. To be honest, it did come as a shock to many, given a high voltage match between these two high profile names for the Universal Championship has been rumored for the Clash of Champions. Nonetheless, creative has certainly spiced up things with this recent development.

Even though the duo complemented each other well to become the new champs, the cracks in the partnerships were evident when Strowman snatched the Universal title from Rollins after their win. Thus, expect these cracks to widen on the upcoming episode of Raw when tension and confusion take the centerstage between the Universal Champion and The Monster among Men.

WWE could have their differences cost them a non-title matchup resulting in the duo engaging in a huge brawl. This could then lay down the foundation for a huge Braun Strowman vs Seth Rollins matchup for the Universal Championship at Clash of Champions.
