3 occassions on which Brock Lesnar was taken to the limit since his return

Resilient Roman

The Beast was almost tamedAsk any die-hard WWE fan this simple question- describe Brock Lesnar in one sentence. The obvious answer would be- “Someone who is larger than life!”. You can't blame one who gives you such a superfluous answer. That's the way Lesnar has been projected by WWE today. This man is ‘The Beast’. He could take anyone on a picnic to 'Suplex City'. He could conquer anything. This is all one side of the coin. There is something on the other side that you many not appreciate as a Brock Lesnar fan. Even Brock was taken to the limit on a few occasions and just because WWE didn't want Lesnar to lose, he was saved. As part of this slideshow, let us have a look at 3 occasions on which Brock was taken to the limit by his opponents since his return in 2013-

#3 WrestleMania 31

Resilient Roman

In the main event of WrestleMania 31, Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns took the beating of a lifetime but still managed to push Lesnar to the limit. Roman was so resilient that Brock got frustrated and made a few foolish moves. Roman capitalized on the mistakes of Lesnar and delivered 3 Superman punches and two Spears to Lesnar. It looked like lythat Reigns could close it on a victory if it wasn’t for Rollins who cashed-in his 'Money in the Bank' contract and emerged victorious. The match was awesome and Lesnar obviously was under pressure during the closing moments of the match.

#2 Night of Champions 2014

Cena was always a hard nut to crack

John Cena was badly beaten by Lesnar at SummerSlam 2014. He won the title from Cena and John invoked his rematch clause and a match was scheduled between Cena and Lesnar at 'Night of Champions'. Brock dominated John during the first half of the match but Cena bounced back strongly. He delivered 4 AAs to the 'Beast' and pressurized him to tap-out for an STF. Just when Lesnar was about to pass out, Rollins was the culprit again who forced a disqualification by attacking Cena. This was a great match for both men and Lesnar was definitely taken to the limit by John.

#1 SummerSlam 2013

One of the best matches in history

To win against Lesnar, one should not only beat Lesnar physically but also beat the intellect of Paul Heyman. This argument brings a very familiar name into the picture – “Best in the World-CM Punk”. Punk and Brock Lesnar ripped each other apart in the 2013 SummerSlam PPV in a match which was termed as ‘The Best vs. The Beast’. Two Heyman guys taking on each other in a PPV like SummerSlam that too in a 'No DQ match' had fans salivating. Since the return of Brock Lesnar, a couple of years ago, Punk is the only superstar who put on the best fight against The Beast and almost went on to win the match, if it wasn’t for Paul Heyman interfering and saving the match for Lesnar.
