The reigning champion of the SmackDown women's division is The Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka. The Japanese superstar won the title at the TLC PPV, where she overcame 'The Man' Becky Lynch and 'The Nature Girl' Charlotte Flair. Now, both of Asuka's rivals have developed a heated rivalry with the RAW Women's Champion, Ronda Rousey.

It is being speculated that Ronda Rousey vs Becky Lynch vs Charlotte for the RAW Women's title will main event WM 35, and so this would leave Asuka without a credible challenger.

Mandy Rose is the only female heel who can provide a challenge to Asuka, but with the introduction of the women's tag team titles, expect her to team up with Sonya Deville and hunt for the titles.

So, NXT's Lacey Evans will be the perfect choice to feud with Asuka, and giving her a win in a championship match at the Elimination Chamber PPV will establish her as a top female superstar.

Predicted date of title change - 17 February 2019
