Seth Rollins found himself a new enemy in BIG Bronson Reed on this week's Monday Night RAW. While the attack seemed quite random, there could be a few reasons why the Australian star chose to target The Visionary.

On the August 5, 2024, episode of WWE RAW, Seth Rollins confronted CM Punk after officiating the latter's match against Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam 2024. However, their meeting was cut short when The Scottish Warrior, who was in the crowd, taunted The Second City Saint with Punk's bracelet. An infuriated Punk ran to get hold of his bitter rival, leaving Seth in the ring vulnerable to an attack.

Minutes later, Bronson Reed brutally attacked The Messiah and nailed six Tsunamis on the former World Heavyweight Champion. RAW GM Adam Pearce later informed fans that The Visionary had been taken to a hospital.

For this list, we will look at three potential reasons why Bronson Reed attacked Seth Rollins this week on WWE RAW:

#3. Bronson Reed needs to share the ring with one of WWE's top stars

Triple H has been actively pushing stars slowly but surely on RAW and SmackDown for the past few months, and it looks like Bronson Reed is next on his list.

The Australian star has previously delivered impressive in-ring performances against people like Sheamus, Sami Zayn, Ivar, and more. However, he has yet to break into the main event scene, and a rivalry with a top star like Seth Rollins could help him achieve his goal.

Notably, Reed confronted Adam Pearce backstage this past Monday and threatened to take matters into his own hands after expressing his displeasure with not getting a match on the latest edition of the flagship show.

The Architect is a proven headliner, and a rivalry with him will help Reed cement himself as a top heel on the flagship show.

#2. To keep Seth Rollins away from Drew McIntyre and CM Punk

Many thought that the bitter feud between Drew and Punk would come to an end at The Biggest Party of The Summer. However, with The Best in The World teasing another showdown with The Scottish Psychopath on this week's RAW, the feud seems far from over. According to media reports, the duo could lock horns inside the Hell in a Cell at the upcoming Bad Blood PLE.

Seth Rollins is also embroiled in a heated rivalry with CM Punk. But with The Straight Edge Superstar currently busy with Drew McIntyre, this leaves the former Shield member without a credible storyline.

Hence, the creative team may have written Seth off TV for a few weeks by having Bronson Reed annihilate him this past Monday. The former Mr. Money in the Bank could have a short feud with the Australian following his return before getting involved with CM Punk.

#1. To keep Seth Rollins away from the World Heavyweight Championship on WWE RAW

As many may recall, Seth challenged Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank. According to the stipulation, if Rollins lost, he would be barred from challenging for the World Heavyweight Title until Priest was champion. The Visionary eventually failed to capture the prized gold in Canada.

Now that Gunther has the title, Rollins can challenge for the gold again. However, The Ring General is set for an extended reign, and hence, it doesn't make sense for Seth to go after the championship.

With Bronson Reed attacking The Visionary, the latter could have a short feud with the Australian before shifting he shifts his focus to the eventual showdown with The Second City Saint.
