Monday Night RAW concluded the second day of this year's draft with some great additions to the Red brand. On the other hand, some wrestlers made their way to the Blue brand where they will be exclusive to Friday nights.

Amid all the draft speculation and Seth Rollins' hunt for Bray Wyatt's Firefly Fun House, some may have missed the match between Aleister Black and Eric Young. We all follow WWE's top Superstars, their journey between the ropes and beyond, however, we too often forget the unparalleled opportunities that a mid-card match can offer. Sleeping on either Black or Young would be a terrible mistake, as these two have an abundance of talent and potential.

The match between these two in-ring geniuses was a small step for now, but it has the potential to change the entire WWE landscape. Without any further ado, let's get down to why this match was a fantastic idea.

#3. Both Wrestlers Need A Push

A great story awaits the fans
A great story awaits the fans

It is a given that both Aleister Black and Eric Young are in desperate need of a push. Eric Young has not been utilized on the main roster like he was in WWE's developmental brand, NXT. While SAnitY was a force to be reckoned with on the Yellow brand, the team inevitably lost its momentum and failed to connect with fans on the Blue brand. This led to most of SAnitY fading into oblivion. Killian Dain eventually returned to NXT, while Eric Young was nowhere to be found. Nikki Cross was the only member of the group to become a bonafide star on the main roster.

Aleister Black was recently involved in a series of mysterious backstage promos on SmackDown, but hasn't seen much in-ring action since moving up to the main roster. This all changed on RAW when he finally returned to the ring.

While Black was successful in winning the match, he still needs to build his character, as months of dormancy have taken its toll. Black clearly needs more time to develop and Eric Young could be a perfect dance partner in a feud that could greatly benefit both men.

#2. This Could Lead to a Tag Team

We all know that the best of enemies have become the best of friends, and this might be no different. The Bar is a perfect example of this, as are Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins after The Shield broke apart.

It is possible that both Aleister Black and Eric Young could join forces to take on RAW's best tag teams. With years of international and independent circuit experience under his belt, Young could be the mastermind behind the tandem and groom the relatively inexperienced Aleister Black. Black may indeed be somewhat inexperienced, but he isn't necessarily a stranger to the world of tag team wrestling. He wowed fans by teaming up with Ricochet earlier in the year.

Both Young and Black are talented enough to be a reputable force and could legitimately compete for the RAW Tag Team Championships.

We all know that the two Superstars can command the action between the ropes. When they work together, these two could reach even higher levels of dominance. No one has been able to counter the Black Ritual move by 'The Striking Man From Amsterdam,' and when you have two great performers in the ring, expect nothing else but great action for the fans.

#1. This could lead to a faction

Faction means business
Faction means business

Do you remember a time when WWE had impressive factions that dominated the professional wrestling landscape? Whether it was The Ministry of Darkness or The Corporate Ministry, we all know that these factions helped elevate feuds and careers. 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and The Rock faced insurmountable odds and came out on top. Their feuds with some of wrestling's most dominant factions helped elevate their legendary careers.

While some may be of a differing opinion, let's consider this idea. What if Aleister Black and Eric Young form a faction with Alexa Bliss, and to counter that trio, there could be another faction in Ricochet, Cedric Alexander, and Nikki Cross?

Wrestling fans might remember that Black and Ricochet once formed an impressive tandem.

Furthermore, Cross was part of Eric's group SAnitY and was also the wrestler that revealed 'The Anti-Hero's' attacker on NXT. Cross has garnered much appreciation from the WWE Universe since turning babyface, and it would be nice to see her elevate her own character by helping the babyfaces get the upper hand on their opponents. This would include Alexa Bliss, who has also teamed with Cross.
