CM Punk defeated Drew McIntyre at WWE Bad Blood, leaving The Scottish Warrior bleeding profusely. It's unknown if this is the end of their feud, but regardless of what is in store for The Second City Saint next, it's possible WWE Crown Jewel is not a part of it.
The event is scheduled for November 2nd, 2024, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. At Bad Blood, Triple H unveiled the Crown Jewel Championship. The WWE and World Champions from SmackDown and RAW will fight at the event for the Crown Jewel Championship, and this is for both divisions.
If Punk wants his hands on the title, he will need to become the World Heavyweight Champion. However, here are the reasons why he will not be a part of Crown Jewel.
#3. He once berated The Miz about Crown Jewel
The Best in the World was one of the pro wrestlers who took issue with WWE's deal with Saudi Arabia.
It so happens that The Miz had taken a jab at CM Punk during an appearance on WWE Backstage. To that, the Second City Saint responded with a now-infamous insult:
"Go su*k a blood money covered d**k in Saudi Arabia you f*****g do*k."
While there's no saying anything with absolute certainty in WWE, it's possible The Voice of the Voiceless will not be a part of the event, given his previous thoughts about Crown Jewel.
#2. CM Punk took a shot at Goldberg regarding Crown Jewel
In 2022, CM Punk was working with AEW. During the post-show conference at that year's AEW Revolution pay-per-view, Punk supposedly took a shot at Goldberg.
It came after Bret Hart came up in conversation. To this day, The Hitman has maintained that his career was cut short because of Goldberg. Given that Punk always has high regard for the WWE Hall of Famer, he seems to share Hart's sentiment.
"I love Bret Hart. Bret Hart's career was cut short. And it's a god d**n tragedy because there's people who go over to Saudi Arabia and they get paid millions of dollars. And that should of been Bret, ya know?"
Goldberg returned to WWE at Bad Blood, and he could be involved in this year's Crown Jewel event. This makes it even less likely that Punk will be present in Saudi Arabia.
#1. No longer advertised after WWE Bad Blood
If CM Punk is to be a part of WWE Crown Jewel, he will need to build a storyline quickly. However, The Stamford-based promotion hasn't advertised him for any shows following Bad Blood.
The Voice of the Voiceless may take some time off after his feud with Drew McIntyre to recover and allow his body a much-deserved break.
