3 Reasons why Cody and The Young Bucks will become AEW's top bad guys

#1 AEW = All Executive Wrestling

Cody is no
Cody is no "Man of the People."

Cody voluntarily added a stipulation that he won’t challenge for another world title, if he loses his match with Chris Jericho at Full Gear. The moment he goes back on his word, he loses credibility and integrity. The natural path for this storyline is a slow descent into greed and questionable ethics. Eventually The Elite will replace their underdog status and become top-dogs.

The idea that they are all executives with the company is not being used against them right now because it will cast the babyfaces in a negative light, but that will likely change soon. In fact, the only person to really make it an issue has been Cody himself. Down the road, when the ethics of their decisions become more questionable, expect the ultra-cool Inner Circle to pounce on the notion that these guys are using their corporate powers to put themselves in all the top spots.

The gradual shift of The Inner Circle to good guys and The Elite to bad guys is not difficult to envision. The Inner Circle is already cool and beloved. The Elite, at their core, are a team of corporate executives that will soon find themselves at the top of the company.

If this is the way this story is heading, AEW is taking a slow-burn approach to the way it all plays out. It should make it all-the-more shocking when we finally see the dark side of Cody and company on public display.
