Only a few WWE superstars can even imagine what The Rock achieved. The Brahma Bull started his career in football and made a transition to pro-wrestling. He was initially received with negative reactions but finally got over with the fans as a major star.

His successful stint in WWE opened doors for him in Hollywood. Even there The Great One had good success. Now, Dwayne Johnson remains to be a popular Hollywood star who is eyeing a political career in the future.

There were rumours that he was present backstage on WWE Raw, Feb 25, 2019. It was later revealed that he had been doing interviews and promotion for the movie 'Fighting With My Family'.

As he is the producer of the movie it is obvious that he was there just to promote the movie. The Great One's busy schedule and commitments might not allow him to work with WWE on the road to WrestleMania. However, there are some reasons why he needs to aim one more WrestleMania match in 2019 despite that.

#1 To push and give more exposure to deserving talents

The current WWE is filled with many talented superstars who are deserving to break the ceiling. However, there are very few main event calibre stars who are capable of giving them the push. This is quite a transition stage for WWE as many veterans are either retired or left the company for good. Without them, the WWE creative team finds it tough to get the current superstars over.

The Rock is a huge name in WWE. He can give a gigantic push to deserving talent. Drew Mcintyre can benefit a lot from working with him. The road to WrestleMania can be set on fire if The Rock has a promo with Becky Lynch or performs his signature "Rock Concert" against Elias. Both of them can benefit from working with him.

#2 To increase the show's ratings

It is unknown at this point of time whether The Undertaker would compete in the show of shows. If rumours are to be believed then the phenom might just make a surprise cameo in the event. The 53-year-old has considerably slowed down in the ring.

Another WrestleMania main event might be just too much to ask of him. The Undertaker had been one of the main reasons for the show's ratings. This is due to his impressive WrestleMania undefeated streak.

Eventually, the streak got broken by Lesnar. Taker lost another time when Roman Reigns pinned him. Losses along with his advancing years contribute in some declining fan interest toward him. It remains to be seen how all these affect Undertaker's WrestleMania stock.

WWE takes advantage of other nostalgia acts as well to boost WrestleMania ratings. They have bought back Batista and he might take on Triple H in the event but still. The Rock is a huger name in Hollywood than the Animal Batista. Two Hollywood stars in the event mean that there might be an enormous boost in ratings.

#3 To have one last WrestleMania match

The Rock's last Wrestling appearance at the show of shows was at 2013. The People's Champion faced John Cena and lost his WWE title to him.

The Brahma Bull may not have many WWE matches left in him. The off-screen Dwayne Johnson is not the one who can pull off the stunts he does in movie screens. The 46-year-old's intense workout and diet practice show him fit outwardly.

However, the advancement of his age would only slow down his performance in a live wrestling match. It is basically a now or never for The Rock. If The Rock needs one last noteworthy WrestleMania match, then the time is right.

With his reputation, he can come and have a match whenever he wants but that doesn't necessarily mean that he will not age. With each passing year, he will get only slower.

WWE creative may be lethargic in pushing their younger talents but eventually, they have to start building WrestleMania worthy main-eventers. In such a time, it would be too late for The Rock to come back and share their spotlight.
