3 rivalries WWE Raw should end, and 3 they should move on to

Raw is in need of a major revamp!
Raw is in need of a major revamp!

Raw hit a rough patch around October 2018, when most of the matches were held between a handful of superstars, and we saw repetitive bookings take place.

After the departure of Roman Reigns, things got worse as the same matches highlighted Raw week after week, and nothing fresh came out of the flagship brand. The result was a weekly dip in ratings, which plummeted to a new low right at the end of the year.

Now that 2019 has begun, Raw needs to be refreshed with a few new rivalries that can hopefully lift up the entire brand. To make this possible, some of the older and current rivalries will need to come to an end.

Here we have come up with a list of 3 rivalries which need to come to an end on Monday Night Raw, to increase the show's ratings in 2019, and 3 that must begin, to freshen the flagship brand.

#3 End - Bobby Lashley vs Elias

Elias vs Bobby Lashley - This rivalry didn't take off very well

Bobby Lashley and Elias started a good feud at the end of 2018 which seemed to be promising, as the two men were stuck nowhere on Raw before that.

However, the feud slowly got redundant, especially once their ladder match at TLC took place. Now they need to look beyond what they have already done and achieved on the main roster.

Bobby Lashley has gotten Lio Rush's services on the mic, while Elias doesn't need that - which speaks volumes about his talent.

Even though both superstars are in need of a push and better booking, competing with each other will take both men nowhere, as both require some better 'pushed' superstars to compete with, in order to reach higher levels on Raw.

#3 Begin - Bobby Lashley vs Lars Sullivan

Lars Sullivan will be making his way to the main roster soon, and if he is drafted to Raw, then his first feud should be with The Almighty himself.

Bobby Lashley seems like one of the fittest and strongest men on Raw, and could meet his match in Lars Sullivan who is bound to get a push straight away.

Competing with a man who is already in the eyes of the fans, and is ready to make his mark on the main roster will also help Lashley rise to prominence, and put up a better display of his strength and skills.

Since Braun Strowman is already busy in his quest for the Universal Championship, these two men must feud with each other sooner than later, before Strowman becomes free to get into a feud with one of them.

#2 End - Ronda Rousey vs Nia Jax

Nia Jax is the Irresistible Force on Raw whose recent alliance with Tamina and heel turn have been a bit underwhelming.

The woman is after the Raw Women's Championship, which she hasn't been able to grasp from Ronda Rousey's hands even with the help of Tamina.

Ronda Rousey has been doing reasonably well in defending her championship, and evolving as a better wrestler than she started. It seems like she won't be losing her championship till WrestleMania at least.

Therefore the feud between the two women needs to come to a halt, as Nia Jax who is built as such a strong unbeatable woman, is losing to Ronda, even with strong Tamina at her side.

While there aren't many heels left on the Raw roster with whom Ronda hasn't feuded with yet, Jax still needs to move away from the championship at the moment, to protect her own character.

#2 Begin - Nia Jax & Tamina vs Sasha Banks & Bayley

Nia Jax and Tamina formed an unlikely alliance in an even more unlikely manner. Without any storyline or past, the two women are on the same page somehow.

What's final is that Tamina is working to help Jax win a championship, and both women are failing badly at it.

What WWE must do is focus the tag teams of Raw towards the Women's Tag Team Championships which will be unveiled soon.

While the Riott Squad already seems like the perfect entrants for whatever criteria or tournament set to unveil the first champions, Sasha & Bayley are also working towards becoming formidable champions.

Jax and Tamina should be added to the tag team mix from Raw, and therefore indulge in a rivalry with Sasha and Bayley to become actual threats to the other tag teams in WWE.

#1 End - Braun Strowman vs Brock Lesnar

We were expecting fireworks from this rivalry

Braun Strowman has been after the Universal Championship since last year, and hasn't managed to get across as a champion yet.

He needs more work on his character and mic skills, and the creative need to cement him as either a babyface or a heel before they can hand the championship to him.

Strowman has targeted Lesnar for the Universal Championship ever since Roman Reigns relinquished the title, and his only match against Lesnar for the title at Crown Jewel ended in a loss.

Since Lesnar doesn't show up much, putting Strowman in his chase hasn't really helped the big man who has to work matches on Raw against different competitors without any rhyme or reason, and that's keeping him from getting into more interesting feuds.

If Brock Lesnar is staying with the company till WrestleMania 35 at least, then it is unlikely Strowman will beat him at Royal Rumble. Therefore, Strowman must get into a more interesting feud sooner than later.

#1 Begin - Braun Strowman vs Drew McIntyre

This is a rivalry that can provide us with fireworks
This is a rivalry that can provide us with fireworks

This is one rivalry fans have been waiting for, and WWE must cash in on it to increase the dropping ratings of the show before fans lose interest.

Braun Strowman has been hailed as the monster of Raw for some time now, and can finally find his match in the returning Drew McIntyre.

WWE did tease a rivalry between the two earlier, but scrapped their plans after Roman Reigns had to take a leave of absence, and Strowman got in contention for the Universal title again.

This rivalry needs to begin as soon as possible, as it has the potential to increase Raw's ratings and attract more fans at the beginning of the year. With WrestleMania 35 on the horizon, fans will want a power match from Raw, and these two men have the ability to deliver just that.
