3 Storylines WWE can explore with the Hardyz on the road to WrestleMania 35

Jeff Hardy and Bray Wyatt

The Hardy Boyz is one of the best tag teams WWE has seen. Their fearless attitude in the ring and risk-taking abilities made them into a very popular tag team in pro wrestling.

They also competed as a team in TNA Wrestling. The Hardy Boyz have 11 overall tag teams titles. No wonder they have a Hall of Fame worthy resume in WWE and other promotions as well.

The team had been inactive in WWE for a while due to their split after Jeff Hardy's injury. However, a few months after Jeff made his return, Matt Hardy took time off for rehab.

Nevertheless, on Feb 26, 2019, Matt Hardy made his return and reunited with his brother Jeff to take on Sheamus and Cesaro in a tag team match.

Now with Matt Hardy making a return to WWE and reforming the Hardy Boyz, WWE has quite some angles worth exploring. One of these three angles might prove to be the best use of the veteran tag team.

#1 Woken Hardyz

WWE has been teasing this for a while now. Ever since they started featuring Matt Hardy as a Woken Warrior, they have been aiming to do the same with Jeff Hardy. The team was a sensation with their broken gimmicks at TNA.

While the same magic cannot be expected in WWE, a continuation of their 'Broken' gimmicks would be a huge plus for the team and the product as a whole. It can open up a lot of fresh storylines for the Hardyz.

Woken Matt Hardy was a part successful Ultimate Deletion match against Bray Wyatt. The gimmick match made WWE fans intrigued and left wanting for more. Unfortunately, Matt took time off from WWE due to the wear and tear he experienced.

With Woken Hardyz, WWE can show us more Ultimate Deletion matches in the coming pay per views, especially at WrestleMania 35.

#2 A remake of their WrestleMania 25 feud

10 years ago, Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy had one of the most personal rivalries in WWE. The intense heat between these brothers led to many extreme WWE moments. It all started in the Royal Rumble 2009 when Matt cost his brother Jeff a WWE championship match by hitting him with a steel chair.

After the controversial finish, Matt made the world know that he had been behind many accidents Jeff suffered during the past few weeks. This led to a WrestleMania match between the Hardy Boyz with Extreme Rules stipulation. Matt defeated Jeff in that match and in a Stretcher Match on April 10 episode of SmackDown.

However Jeff Hardy defeated Matt in an "I Quit" Match at BackLash ending their intense rivalry. If WWE has no direction with the Hardyz in the land of young tag teams, then they can pit them against one another. The brothers know each other very well and can bring out the best in each other.

#3 A veteran tag team on their final WrestleMania journey

Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy may not have many matches left in them. Both of them are above 40 years of age. They have considerably slowed down in the ring. There is no long term potential in the team either. Considering all these facts, WWE can give them a proper send-off match at the show of shows.

The Hardy Boyz is the last remaining tag team from WWE's most successful period, the attitude era. They add a huge nostalgia value to WrestleMania. There are quite a few young tag teams in WWE. The veterans can give a huge push to an up and coming tag team.

Having them around to go over other tag teams would be unnecessary for them at the moment. Hardyz losing to every tag team for a long period in order to give them a push would only diminish their value.

They already possess Hall of Fame-worthy names so all they might need is a noteworthy final match at WrestleMania.
