WWE Survivor Series has the traditional 5-on-5 tag team elimination matches as its center of attraction. Since the brand split in 2016, WWE has presented the Survivor Series PPV with a “RAW vs SmackDown” theme. They even refer it as the only night of the year where the two brands of the WWE go head-to-head in direct competition. Team RAW has won both the editions of the Survivor Series since the recent brand split.

In the traditional tag team matches of 2016, RAW won by a 2-1 margin against SmackDown Live. The only match which SmackDown won was the men’s 5-on-5 tag team elimination match which saw Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton emerge as the sole survivors for the blue brand. However, in all the 3 matches, a SmackDown Superstar was eliminated first. Here is the list of those three Superstars who were the first to eat a pinfall in the traditional tag team elimination matches of 2016.

#1 Carmella - eliminated by Alicia Fox

The Survivor Series PPV of 2016 saw 5 women from SmackDown Live and 5 from RAW clash against one another. Charlotte Flair, Bayley, Sasha Banks, Alicia Fox and Nia Jax represented RAW while Becky Lynch, Natalya, Carmella, Alexa Bliss and Naomi formed team SmackDown Live. There were no eliminations in the match until the 6th minute.

In the seventh minute of the match, RAW’s Alicia Fox pinned Carmella after hitting her with a “Watch Yo’ Face”. This eliminated the Princess of Staten Island from the match but Fox’s celebration was short-lived, as she was met with a Twisted Bliss from Alexa Bliss to be eliminated in the same minute.

The tag teams of RAW and SmackDown Live clashed in a 10-on-10 tag team elimination match at Survivor Series 2016. Cesaro and Sheamus, The New Day, The Club, Enzo and Cass and the Shining Stars formed the red brand’s team while team SmackDown Live comprised The Usos, American Alpha, Heath Slater and Rhyno, Breezango and The Hype Bros. The match started off with a bang as two teams were eliminated within 70 seconds of the bell.

However, it was team Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) which was eliminated first at the hands of the then RAW tag team champs the New Day, courtesy a Midnight Hour. The New Day was soon eliminated by the Usos while they were celebrating the elimination of Breezango. Cesaro and Sheamus were the sole survivors of this match which saw team RAW emerge victorious.
