Shinsuke Nakamura's character's evolution has been disappointing, to say the least
Shinsuke Nakamura's character's evolution has been disappointing

A legitimate legend, someone who has already done everything needed to do in wrestling, Nakamura won the Royal Rumble last year and was the man challenging AJ Styles for the WWE title. You compare that to what he might be doing this time around (which is not much), you realize how far down the pecking order Shinsuke has fallen.

It's an open secret now that WWE really doesn't have an idea about what they need to do with Shinsuke's character to make it work. But one thing is for sure, turning heel and making a handful of appearances is probably not the best way to go about doing things. It's been really hard to fathom the manner in which Shinsuke's stock has plummeted because a star like him has been successful everywhere he's gone except in the WWE roster where he's just been lost in the melee.
