Not every WWE superstar gets to rise to fame. While some reach the pinnacle of glory, others just play a low card or their contract is terminated due to some interpersonal issues between the wrestler and the company. There have been instances when fan favorite superstars have left the WWE to find their worth somewhere else. Every WWE fanatic would love to see their favorite wrestler come back to the arena to compete one more time.

The company had promised that 2019 will be a year of shocks and surprises and they have already started delivering on it. After making a return of John Cena, Hulk Hogan and Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar in the starting week of the year, RAW also initiated the return of Batista last week when he attacked Ric Flair on his birthday.

No wonder the company is coming back to fulfilling its promise of ‘New Era’ mentioned in December. Here, we take a look at three WWE superstars whom the WWE world would love to see make a comeback.

#3. Chris Jericho

WWE authorities, as well as fans over the world, know that inside and outside, Jericho is the definition of hard-line success. Among his famous accolades, Jericho has been the undisputed WWF Champion once, World Heavyweight champion thrice and the WCW Champion twice. Jericho’s last appearance in WWE was earlier last year when he would take part in the Greatest Royal Rumble match.

Now 48, Jericho competes in New Japan as IWGP champion along with touring with his band, The Fozzy. Though it would be an interesting affair to see “The Walls of Jericho” back in WWE, it is doubtful as the company won’t allow another brand’s belt in their program. Although he isn’t one of the swiftest and fastest in the show, he could still easily go against the top talents of the company.

#2. The Rock

Though it is hard to say whether he would commit his future to WWE all over again, every WWE fan has a bleak hope that ‘The Brahma Bull’ makes a comeback for a few months. The Rock has last featured in a competitive match back in 2016 which saw him defeat Erik Rowman of The Wyatt family in six seconds, giving him the record of the fastest win in Wrestlemania history.

A former World Champion, The Rock could even go on toe-to-toe with Brock Lesnar over the Universal Title in what could be an epic rematch of Summerslam in 2002. Rock has always been described as one of the top box offices draws in wrestling history.

Many of his rivals, including John Cena, Ric Flair, and Hulk Hogan, have expressed praises for ‘The Brahma Bull’. The WWE universe still believes that ‘The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment’ still has a few iconic moments to deliver and 2019 should be a perfect year.

#1. CM Punk

It is a widely known fact among the WWE fans that CM Punk’s presence has been longed for even after his final appearances in 2014. CM Punk’s departure was both strange and painful for the WWE universe. The straight edge persona possessing ‘The Cult of Personality’ was a fan favorite in his prime years.

A hard working fighter-class wrestler, Punk had famous feuds with Chris Jericho, John Cena, Randy Orton which lad to some magnificent fights over the years. CM Punk had a personality which abstained him from the usage of tobacco, alcohol, and recreational drugs.

Punk used to perform the straight edge symbol on the rings, crossing his hand in an X symbol. Whether it is within the ring or outside it, CM Punk was a classic wrestler. Punk himself said that he is not going to feature in any kind of wrestling shows anymore and openly spoke against WWE authorities on television.

Punk has featured in Ultimate Fighting Championship but lost both of his matches. Although the differences between CM Punk and the company seem too big to fix at this moment, WWE fans would love to see the charismatic CM Punk deserve one more chance at the ring.
