Nikki and Artem welcomed their son on July 31, 2020, the day before her twin sister Brie and her husband Daniel Bryan had their second child. The couple had previously announced their baby's gender of the season finale of Total Bellas, and Nikki later revealed that they had named him Matteo Artemovich Chigvenstev on her Instagram account.
