Considered by many to be one of the greatest in-ring performers of all time, Shawn Michaels has had a massively successful career in WWE. He had a successful career in the 80s and 90s but his career almost came to an end in 1998. Competing against The Undertaker in a casket match at the Royal Rumble that year, he suffered some huge back injuries, herniating two discs and crushing one completely.

He was forced into his first retirement due to the same and it looked like we would never see him back in the ring again. He continued making non-wrestling appearances for WWE. After a long absence of four years, Shawn Michaels made his return to WWE, starting his second run with the company which was equally successful as his first one, if not more.
