CM Punk and Randy Orton are no strangers. The duo feuded back in 2011 when Punk was a heel and Randy Orton was a babyface. Punk began working for WWE Backstage last year in November. In one instance, Punk opened up on Randy Orton's work and stated that there's no one better than a motivated Randy Orton.

I don't want to say anything good about Randy Orton. It's really hard! No, a motivated Randy, Book [Booker T] tell me am I wrong; is there anybody better?! I think Randy... I think all of us can... we can take out the eye of the ball, we can get complacent but when he's dialed in and he has something he can really sink his teeth into, something that motivates him, I don't think there's anyone better. He was born into this business and he can talk, he can wrestle and he's one of those guys who 'gets it!'
Randy Orton and CM Punk engaged in a rivalry on the road to WrestleMania 27, back in 2011. In the end, Punk lost after being on the receiving end of a devastating RKO from Orton. Punk would go on to become a top star following the Pipebomb and remain one until his exit in 2014.

He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
