Shinsuke Nakamura signed with WWE in 2016. He signed a 4-year contract with the company which was going to expire this year. During his time in NXT, Nakamura impressed everybody. His wrestling persona became one of the main highlights of the yellow brand but that was until WWE decided to call him up to the main roster, which was meant to introduce his great work to a broader audience.

The first few months weren’t so bright for the Japanese Superstar and then, he won the Royal Rumble 2018 match. We thought he would win the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 34 but that obviously didn’t happen. Nakamura ended up losing the match and turned heel. Fans thought he would leave WWE once his contract expires and return to NJPW or even join AEW, but Dave Meltzer reported that the former US Champion isn’t going to leave WWE as he has re-signed with them.
