#2 Ready to return: Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre hasn’t wrestled a single match in WWE since the company's Mexican tour back in September. The former Intercontinental Champion was reportedly set to win this year's King of the Ring, but his injury altered the company’s plans. McIntyre’s injury is said to be relatively minor, but he still hasn’t returned to WWE after taking several weeks off to recover from surgery.

There’s also a rumor that McIntyre is already cleared to return to WWE, but the company wants to keep him on the sidelines until the second half of October. He has already been drafted to RAW and it wouldn’t be shocking if 'The Scottish Psychopath' makes his presence felt very soon.

#2 Injured: Jinder Mahal

Former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal injured his knee in June in a match against Ali and has been out of action ever since. The SmackDown Superstar revealed that he has undergone surgery and will return once his body is fully recovered.

According to a report by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Mahal is currently scheduled to return to the company by 2020.

Here is what Sapp had to say about Mahal's injury and return,

“Jinder Mahal's patella injury has him listed as a "January 1" return. He'd just signed a new five-year deal ahead of the injury. Previous reports had indicated a possible return at the end of the year.”
