Finishers are the moves used by a superstar to "finish" the opponent to get the three count and hence, victory. Hence, it got it's name. Kicking out of finishers was a rare instance in the classical period. There is a reason why the whole crowd erupted when Stone Cold Steve Austin kicked out of the Rock Bottom at WrestleMania 19.

However, in the modern era of wrestling, kicking out of finishers is a common sight, especially for the elite wrestlers. Brock Lesnar has kicked out of almost every finisher he has faced. Roman Reigns, John Cena, Braun Strowman - all have incredible resilience, and kick out of most moves in WWE.

In the 2019 edition of Elimination Chamber, there have been a few instances where a wrestler kicked out of another's finishing maneuver. In this article, we will take at the four finishers kicked out of at Elimination Chamber 2019.

Mandy Rose's finisher - the Bed of Roses - is a double under-hook facebuster, and looks brilliant. Recently she used it on Naomi on SmackDown Live to secure the pinfall. However, Sasha Banks did not get the memo that it was Mandy's finishing move, and kicked out before the count reached 3.

Finishers are rarely kicked out of in tag team matches. So when The Miz performed his finishing maneuver - the Skull Crushing Finale - on Jimmy Uso, most of the WWE Universe was sure that the team of The Miz and Shane McMahon was retaining the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championship.

However, Jimmy had different ideas. At the count of 2.5, Jimmy countered the pinfall and pinned The Miz successfully to capture the SD Live Tag Team Championship for a record fourth time.

This one was similar to the instance mentioned before. When Kofi Kingston hit Daniel Bryan with a Trouble in Paradise, almost all of the WWE Universe believed that Kofi would get his hands on a WWE World Championship for the first time in his eleven-year-old career.

However, at the count of 2.5, Bryan countered the pinfall combination to another pinfall attempt. But this time Kofi kicked out of Bryan's pinfall attempt to keep himself alive in the match.

To be honest, no one gave Kofi a chance to win the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber. Once Daniel Bryan hit his Running Knee on Kingston, we all thought the match was over there. After all, only a handful of superstars kicked out of that move.

However, to everyone's pleasant surprise, Kofi kicked out of the Running Knee. Even though Kofi succumbed to the second Running Knee, this moment gave hope to everyone that Kofi had a chance at getting his hands on the gold.
