When Big E made his main roster debut in 2012, he was as the muscle behind then power couple AJ Lee & Dolph Ziggler. AJ and Big E became very good friends backstage as well, something that has not changed since AJ's been gone from WWE.
It's been no secret that whenever WWE rolls through Chicago, Big E, or as AJ calls him, "her son", typically stops by to visit AJ and husband CM Punk. This includes surprising her at one of her book signings last year. There was a bit of a stir caused in 2015 when Big E tweeted his seeming displeasure at Nikki Bella beating AJ's Divas Title Reign record. Now that's loyalty!
