4 Possible winners of the 2019 men's Money in the Bank contract

Who Will Become Mr. Money In The Bank This Year?
Who Will Become Mr. Money In The Bank This Year?

This year's annual Money in the Bank PPV is taking place a little earlier than it usually does. The event will take place on Sunday, 19th of May despite it taking place in June over the past few years.

We haven't had a great Money in the Bank contract holder for a while now. The last two were Braun Strowman and Baron Corbin, who didn't do much at all with it in their short time with the briefcase. Before that, it was held for about an hour by Dean Ambrose and before that a lackluster run by Sheamus in 2015.

The last great holder was for sure heel Seth Rollins who won the match in 2014 and didn't cash in until WrestleMania 31, which was the following year. We really do need someone this year who can either hold it for a while like Seth or have it for not that long but be very active with it.

With WWE having low ratings in the past year, having a good MITB winner is obviously not going to fix everything, but it would be a good start to prove they can make good booking decisions. So these are 4 superstars who should win this year's men's Money In The Bank contract.

#4 Finn Balor

It Could Be The Intercontinental Champion
It Could Be The Intercontinental Champion

Maybe this is unlikely due to Finn Balor being the current Intercontinental champion, but it could still happen.

It is not set in stone that Finn will be the IC Champion when Money In The Bank occurs, and even if he is he could still carry the briefcase.

Back in 2010, The Miz was United States Champion and held the briefcase at the same time. So this means it can be done.

#3 Xavier Woods

It's A New Day Yes It Is!

With Kofi Kingston finally becoming the WWE Champion this year, it seems like time to push the rest of the New Day.

With Big E suffering a knee injury and being out for over a month, why not give Xavier his chance to shine. Him winning the briefcase doesn't mean he needs to win the WWE title, and he probably won't.

Even just having the briefcase is a big push for Woods and is definitely possible after Kofi's push this year.

#2 Andrade

It Could Be The Former NXT Champion

Andrade hasn't been used that well since he was called up in last year's Superstar Shake-Up. Maybe now is the time.

It would be perfect if someone was climbing the ladder only for Zelina Vega to push them off. Andrade could then climb the ladder and become Mr. Money In The Bank.

He would be the perfect chicken heel with the briefcase and great at teasing a cash in every now and again. An eventual cash-in could have Zelina attack the champion or distract the referee for him to cash-in and become champion.

#1 Drew McIntyre

The Scottish Psychopath

Drew McIntyre winning the Money In The Bank match and returning to his old chosen one gimmick is a definite possibility for this year. He is a big heel which means he can beat up whatever babyface is the champion and keep teasing a cash in for as long as he wants. As a big guy though, he shouldn't hold it for too long.

This is also a way to push Drew into the title picture which it looks like the company wants to do as he faced someone as big as Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 35. Giving him the briefcase ensures he is taken seriously by the fans before he wins the title which means when he does eventually cash in people will expect him to win.

If this year's match is used for anything, it should be to give Drew his old theme back because let's all be honest, it was an awesome theme song.
