#2 Push the United States Championship to the WWE Universe
At the moment this may seem far away, but a match between John Cena and R-Truth for the United States Title might be the perfect way to go. It would also add to the legitimacy of the title which has been in doubt of late.
Despite the Championship being held by the Superstars like Shinsuke Nakamura, Rusev, Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton, it has far too often been portrayed in the pre-show. Of late, it is not even seen on television that frequently, with the Champions not always making appearances on their shows. As a result, the Championship has lost a lot of its previous sheen and past glories.
The WWE Universe has not really had a reason to care about either the title or the Champion holding it. John Cena feuding for the Championship would be a sure way to ensure that the WWE Universe care about it once again.
