Can Dolph win the big one?

'If you ever doubted me you don't have a clue!'

This is a line taken from Ziggler's entrance music and it could all finally mean something if he wins the Royal Rumble this Sunday. Here we will take a look at four reasons that Ziggler could be, and should win the big one!

#4 It fits the current storyline

The night after Clash Of Champions, Ziggler shocked the world.

In what was thought to be a standard heel title celebration where he would rub it in that he was champion he actually dropped the US title in the ring and has not been seen since.

This got people talking about him more than ever and if that was the goal it has been accomplished. Now, a lot of people seem to think he will be coming back to challenge the US champion Bobby Roode at WrestleMania but does that really make sense? Why would a man give up a belt willingly and then want it back? Yeah it might prove a point but surely you would just keep it in the first place?

For this to really have the payoff it deserves Dolph needs to come back and win the Rumble and say he gave up the US title because he needed to prove to himself and the people that he truly is the best.

#3 The shock factor is there

Expect reactions like this!

Although his odds are currently 4/1 which makes him the third favourite the WWE universe would still be gobsmacked if the "Show off" won this match.

The Creative team have done a great job, intentionally, maybe of conditioning the WWE universe to not expect a Ziggler push to be consistent. Every time he has seemed close to a real main event push that would finally establish him they pull out the rug. The authority have even mentioned this is promos in the past so it is no secret.

What if this was just long-term booking done brilliantly so when they finally do pull the trigger the fans are behind him more than ever? The audience are always ready to get behind a hard worker that has been screwed by the system and no man has been held down more unjustly than Dolph.

#2 Nakamura is not ready

Is the King Of Strong Style ready for the main event?

Shinsuke Nakamura will be the main event star and he and AJ Styles will tear the house down when given the chance, that chance though should not be now.

Due to underwhelming feuds with Corbin, Mahal and ironically even Ziggler, Nakamura really has not hit the ground running like most would expect. The fact is he has not come across as a main event player on SmackDown and has no real buzz around his name at the moment.

One solid year of booking can change that as he has charisma by the bucket load. That year will probably begin after Wrestlemania and will be an amazing match at Summerslam or perhaps at the next Wrestlemania.

Lastly, Vince loves Heel vs Face on the biggest stage and a face vs face encounter is very rare in a title match. At the moment it would make no sense for either man to turn and apart from Owens and Zayn, Ziggler is the only real heel that could put on a 5-star match with Styles.

#1 He has paid his dues and then some!

Here to show the world?

This is the main reason and something that Vince must know deep down. Quite simply, he deserves this win!

Dolph is a man that loves Wrestling and whether it has been as a caddy, a cheerleader or a man that loses every week he has given his all to the WWE.

He is the resident gatekeeper that has shown all NXT talent the ropes when they debut on the main roster. He has never had a singles match at WrestleMania which is nothing short of insulting for a man that can put on a great match with anyone.

It is time to reward Ziggler for all the bumps he has taken, for all the stars he has put over and all the time he has invested. it is time for the Creative team to give him some good booking to work with and see if he can carry the ball and run with it.

It is time for Dolph Ziggler to show the world!
