WWE obviously doesn't want to push McIntyre too soon

Drew McIntyre is a former NXT Champion but ever since his return to the company, WWE has been reluctant to pull the trigger on any kind of planned push that they had for the star in case it was too soon.

So many WWE superstars have been given World Championships when they were unprepared in the past and WWE obviously wants to protect McIntyre and stop him from being another victim of bad booking.

The fact that he wasn't pinned on Monday Night Raw means that there are still some plans in place for him to be pushed to the top of the company, but the trigger is yet to be pulled. A decent mid-card feud could be exactly what McIntyre needs in the coming weeks whilst Rollins is busy feuding with AJ Styles.
