Is Drew McIntyre a Champion who needs backup?
It's quite obvious that the British Invasion is coming to WWE's main roster in the future since there were rumors that Pete Dunne was heading to the main roster as part of the Superstar Shake-up last week.

Dunne is no longer NXT United Kingdom Champion, which means that he's free to make the move to Raw or SmackDown Live and the company could then give McIntyre his own team when he becomes Champion since this is a formula that works best for heel Champions.

Drew McIntyre has been part of 3MB before as well as the recent stable that he was aligned with to take on The Shield numerous times, so he's well accustomed to working in a team and could use a stable to protect him as Champion.

Jinder Mahal was able to use The Singh Brothers to his advantage as WWE Champion a few years ago and this proved that the formula worked.
