To shake up the rosters across all of its brands, WWE has often had a big Draft at some point over each of the last few years.

The event allows names to switch between RAW, NXT, and SmackDown, refreshing feuds and replenishing certain rosters that need shuffling and depth.

Last year's Draft saw Bianca Belair earn top-pick status, but names were placed into draft pools for each night of the event. Carmelo Hayes was a first-round pick and challenged then Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.

With so much going on at the moment, Triple H doesn't need to book a 2025 WWE Draft for the next four reasons.

#4. Already cramming too many events into a small time frame

It seems like every two or three weeks, WWE has two events on one weekend. This happened with Backlash and NXT Battleground, followed two weeks later by Saturday Night's Main Event.

Money in the Bank had Worlds Collide air just hours before the main-roster premium live event. WWE is loading up yet again in Atlanta with Evolution, another edition of Saturday Night's Main Event, and NXT's Great American Bash.

This doesn't even take into account that the King and Queen of the Ring qualifiers kicked off this week as well. Bookers are already overflooding the market with events.

Shoving the Draft into a show wouldn't make it feel like a special event. Spreading things out and giving them time to breathe appears to be a problem under the TKO banner.

#3. Stars have already been promoted, switched brands this year

Roxanne Perez and Stephanie Vaquer appeared on RAW after WrestleMania 41. Perez showed up a handful of times even before that, competing in the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber.

Giulia was recently promoted to SmackDown and qualified for Money in the Bank. There are rumors that names like Jordynne Grace, Ricky Saints, and Tony D'Angelo are next in line to get called up.

If there have already been roster additions without the draft, and more are in the pipeline, there's no need to concoct a two-night event around an already convoluted schedule.

#2. Trades between WWE's brands

Instead of having a huge two-night Draft as has been done in past years, WWE randomly utilized a "transfer window/portal" to piggyback off NCAA Football.

Collegiate athletes change schools like they do their clothes nowadays, so officials borrowed the idea. It saw Bayley move to RAW while Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre switched over to SmackDown.

A-Town Down Under joined RAW while Braun Strowman moved to the blue brand. If they want to switch up the rosters at some point, Pearce and Aldis can make trades. They can build particular episodes of RAW and SmackDown around the trades and even work them into PLEs.

#1. 2025 is half over

A simple reason why a Draft isn't needed in 2025 is timing. Cramming so many events into a small timeframe is one issue. Another issue is that the year itself is half over.

There are a few PLEs on the horizon, but the next huge show is SummerSlam. Having a few random roster moves would be easier to execute than concocting an entire roster shuffle for RAW, SmackDown, and NXT.

Mariah May recently debuted in NXT. WWE just needs to follow the path it's used so far this year instead of having a Draft. If Triple H and TKO truly want to have one, they can run it in the fall after The Biggest Party of the Summer.
