4 Superstars who ran to Bret Hart's aid after he was assaulted during WWE's Hall of Fame show

This year's Hall of Fame ceremony, which saw the likes of Torrie Wilson, Brutus 'The Barber' Beefcake, D-Generation-X and The Hart Foundation induction, has gone down well with the WWE Universe, especially when compared to last year's overlong affair.

However, the major talking point coming out of this year's Hall of Fame wasn't the inductions themselves, the controversy surrounding Chyna or Triple H making as many AEW jokes as he could muster, no! The major talking point was a member of the audience storming the ring and assaulting Bret Hart.

It was a shocking moment that was completely unplanned and unscripted as you can tell from the reaction of everyone involved, several members of the WWE roster immediately sprang into action, rushing to 'The Hitman's aid.

But who were they?

#4. Natalya and Davey Boy Smith Jr.

The Hart Dynasty were there!

Natalya was in the ring with Bret Hart, as she was preparing to give a speech on behalf of her late father and Hart Foundation member Jim 'The Anvil' Neidhart, and fellow Hart Dynasty member Davey Boy Smith Jr was also already in the ring.

Natalya was dragged down with Hart when he was tackled as she tried to help Hart after seeing the attacker coming. As Hart as Smith Jr. they were the closet to the incident when Hart was attacked they were understandably the first on the scene and helped to separate the attacker from Hart along with several other WWE Superstars.

Neither Bret Hart or Natalya were injured during the incident, and they were able to continue with their Hall of Fame speeches with the rest of the Hart family, including Smith Jr. by their sides.

#3. Travis Browne

Ronda Rousey's partner Travis Browne was heroic at the Hall of Fame

Okay, so Travis isn't strictly a WWE Superstar, but he has featured on WWE television when he helped his partner and Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey lay out some security personnel.

There has been talk of Browne becoming a full-time WWE Superstar, but for now, he is just a legitimate MMA fighter, so definitely not someone you want to be on the wrong side of in a physical confrontation.

Unfortunately for the man who attacked Bret Hart, Browne had him scouted from the get-go and was in the ring at almost the same time as he was. Brown was one of the first to the scene and used his real-life fighting knowledge to take out the attacker and defend Bret Hart valiantly.

#2. The New Day

New Day were one of the first on the scene

Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods were front row for the Hall of Fame so they were in one of the closest positions to the incident when it happened. And like the great guys they are they were among the first to intercede on Hart's behalf during his attack.

The New Day were quick on their feet and they were instrumental, along with several other Superstars in separating Bret Hart from the man that stormed the ring to attack him. The New Day then made sure that Hart was alright as other Superstars forcibly removed the attacker from the ring.

The New Day had a pretty great Hall of Fame ceremony as they were also spotted not looking at or listening to Hulk Hogan during his appearance and speech. Fingers crossed their weekend continues to be great with Kingston winning the WWE Title.

#1. Dash Wilder

Dash Wilder is the hero we all deserve!

There were many Superstars involved but perhaps the most notable one, the one that's getting all of the headlines and discussion and that's one half of the Revival, and one half of the current Raw Tag-Team Champions, Dash Wilder.

Wilder was there in the ring for the initial commotion, but it is his actions outside of the ring when the attacker is being escorted out of the arena that has got everyone talking and proclaiming Dash Wilder a hero.

That's because as the attacker is struggling, Wilder clocks him with a single punch to the head, seemingly knocking the attacker out and making it significantly easier for security forces and police to remove him!
