The Swiss Superman won the Red, White and Blue championship many years ago, defeating Santino Marella at the WWE Summerslam 2012 kick-off show.
Since losing the title in 2013, Cesaro has stayed away from the title, and is currently teaming with Sheamus.
As a team, The Bar have had great success, most notably ending the record-breaking reign of The New Day at Roadblock: End of the Line in 2016.
Whilst the two have become a dominant force on SmackDown Live, neither man has had a singles push.
Having Cesaro capture the United States title could lead to some great matches (as he has often delivered in the past) as well as some potential hilarious segments featuring a very jealous Sheamus.
This could even be the catalyst for a split for the team, as the two have proved that they work just as well together as opponents as they do as a team.
