The Grand Slam is one of the most prestigious accomplishments for any wrestler in his career. It is one of those rare feats for which wrestlers work extremely hard to achieve. A Grand Slam Champion is a wrestler in WWE who has won either the WWE or the Universal Championship, either of the Tag Team Championships, and both the Intercontinental and the United States Championships.
Several wrestlers over the years have worked extremely hard to achieve this rare accomplishment. This year too, many wrestlers could be aiming to become Grand Slam Champions as well. Here are four such wrestlers WWE should consider making Grand Slam Champions by the end of this year.
#4 Dolph Ziggler
Dolph Ziggler is one of the most underrated wrestlers in the WWE. He has won the Intercontinental, United States, Tag Team and the World Heavyweight Championship. He is also a former Money in the Bank Ladder match winner. However, he has never laid his hands upon the Universal and the WWE Championships.
If he wins either of the two titles, he could become a Grand Slam Champion. 2019 would be the year when WWE should crown him as the World Champion. He is extremely talented, and, is one of those wrestlers who knows to bring the best out of his opponents.
Many WWE fans would vouch for Ziggler to become a Grand Slam Champion. He can win either of the two World titles, and that would be the gateway for new rivalries and story-lines in WWE.
Ziggler has been associated with WWE for a long time, but he has never been given his proper due. Thus, it would be a brilliant move on the part of WWE to crown him a Grand Slam Championship in 2019.
#3 Jinder Mahal
Mahal promised the WWE Universe that he would become a Grand Slam Champion in 2018. However, he failed to accomplish that feat last year. Nevertheless, he is a former WWE Champion and a United States Champion. In 2019, he can win the Tag Team, and the Intercontinental title and become a Grand Slam Champion. It is difficult, but certainly not impossible.
He can challenge the Intercontinental Champion Bobby Lashley. He has the skills and ability to win the title from Bobby Lashley. Similarly, later on he can form an alliance with the Singh Brothers and win the Tag Team titles.
If this happens, he would create history as the first ever Grand Slam Champion of Indian Origin. He can etch his name forever in history as one of the greatest of all time. We hope this happens soo, and Mahal becomes a Grand Slam Champion.
# 2 Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre has won the Intercontinental, Tag Team and the NXT Championships. He is currently busy chasing the Universal title. However, in my opinion, he should be drafted to SmackDown and given the opportunity to capture the United States Championship and the WWE Championship.
Rusev vs McIntyre for the United States title would be a treat to watch. Similarly, McIntyre can also square off against Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship. He can feud against superstars like Randy Orton, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles and others on SmackDown. Therefore, McIntyre is one of the top contenders to become the Grand Slam Champion.
Also, another possible option would be to make him win the Royal Rumble and make him challenge for the WWE title. He could win the WWE Championship at WrestleMania, and the United States Championship later this year. The creative team could utilize this angle really well.

John Cena is the most deserving candidate to win the Grand Slam. He has won almost every possible championship and has defeated every wrestler he came across. The only hurdle between him and the Grand Slam is the Intercontinental Championship.
It is a shame that a wrestler like Cena has never been booked in an Intercontinental Championship match. He won't be hovering around for a long time in the WWE, and he deserves to be crowned as a Grand Slam Champion. Therefore, WWE might consider a contest between Cena and Bobby Lashley for the Intercontinental Championship.
It is quite unfortunate that a veteran like John Cena has not won the Grand Slam. The best option would be to make him win the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 35. It would be good for business, as fans would love to see John Cena as their next Intercontinental Champion.
