When FCW became NXT and gained some traction amongst fans outside the Full Sail University, there were a few performers that one immediately wanted to see on the main roster. If not immediately, you knew that they’ll be great additions if and when they make it to the ‘big league’. Amongst those few names were Enzo Amore and Colin Cassidy.
And now, almost 5 years later, here we are on Monday Night Raw where Amore and Big Cass finally made their debut and got the audience in the palm of their hands with their catchphrases. There is no one in the main roster who can churn out so many catchphrases like Amore does. Maybe this is someone after The Rock who can control an arena with only catchphrases. Also, that Brooklyn accent is to die for.
Here are the top 5 angles for this team....
1). The Dudleys
Well, they made their debut by completely verbally decimating one of the greatest tag teams of all time. Bubba Ray Dudley’s response was really great. It took a lot of effort to hold such a reaction to being completely dominated by Amore.
The most popular team from NXT have to go after the heels first and foremost and there is no one as experienced and as greatly positioned to put someone over in the divisions as the Dudleys. This feud can run on the catchphrases and veteran advice attempts by the Dudleys.
2). The League of Nations
This team comprises of people WWE Creative has never had anything for. There will be nothing better than to bring those big guys down to planet earth by Amore and all the catchphrases that come out of his sall body. Seriously, as he once said, it’s not the size of the dog in the fight but the fight in the dog that matters.
All those protocol big guys in the division just seriously need to be put in front of Amore and get a verbal beatdown. if not for anything else, this feud should only happen for the fun both Amore and Big Cass can have on the mic.
3). The Ascension
Well, this works to get some heat back at the Ascension. They’ve been irrelevant since coming to the main roster and there is nothing better to gain some importance by going back to those NXT days on the main roster.
The Ascension can give Enzo and Cass a reality check about how being on the main roster is not as same as being in NXT. But one has to be careful about not getting Ascension buried again in the process. They should get the opportunity to be monster heels in front of the Realest Guys in the Room.
4). The Wyatt Family
Sure, they are monsters in front of the odd couple that is the team of The Realest Guys but those monsters got a man named Wyatt as their leader, who is a master on the microphone. But while Wyatt is out there in singles competition, Rowan and Strowman should get busy with being in the tag team division.
It’ll be the eerie meeting the cool, like darkness meeting sunshine, these two polar opposites should atleast be given a chance together to see what can unravel.
5). The New Day
There should be some distance maintained between these two teams in the beginning. The eventual confrontation will be as memorable and as spectacular and worth the wait as The Shield Vs The Wyatts.
The New Day are the faces of the tag team division. They are one of the best reasons to watch Raw. They are so great with their antics and promos. Meeting Enzo and Cass will be like meeting their equals.
And since Amore and Cass haven’t yet tasted tag team gold in their WWE careers, eventually beating New Day for the tag titles should be the icing on the cake.
