After aligning themselves with Mr. Monster in the Bank before winning the titles, the duo of Ziggler and McIntyre played the role of The Monster's sidekicks, instead of focusing on their tag team championship reign.

WWE Creative booked a 6 man tag team match for WWE Super Show-Down, involving The Shield and The Dogs of War (probably, the worst name a stable has ever gotten), where Ziggler and McIntyre did not look like they were the flagship show's top tag team.

These meaningless 6 man tag team matches continued on the RAW episodes following Super Show-Down, before The Dogs of War imploded.

Ziggler and McIntyre did not even come face to face with the AOP even once, and neither did they defend their titles since retaining them at the Hell in a Cell PPV, before losing them to Ambrose and Rollins on RAW.
