#4 Chris Jericho - Trish Stratus - Christian

Christian and Trish celebrate over a fallen Jericho

This was one of the most intriguing WWE angles on the road to WrestleMania 20, and kicked off when Christian and Chris Jericho began dating Lita and Trish Stratus respectively. What was initially just a bet between Christian and Jericho turned into something serious for the latter, as he genuinely fell in love with Trish. Christian, disgusted by the change in Jericho's behavior, turned his back on him and this led to a match between the former tag team partners at WrestleMania 20.

The match ended with Trish 'accidentally' helping Christian take the victory, and it was later revealed that she was secretly involved with Christian all along. The angle continued for a while, with Jericho getting the last laugh over Christian in the end when he defeated him in a Ladder Match for the Intercontinental title at Unforgiven 2004.

This well-remembered storyline began in mid-2000, with Angle falling for Stephanie, who was married to Triple H and running the company during the McMahon-Helmsley Era. The feud culminated at Unforgiven 2000, when Stephanie hit a low blow on Angle and helped Triple H defeat him.

Later, Stephanie managed Angle for a short while and was in his corner when he won the WWE Championship from The Rock at the No Mercy PPV. This alliance didn't last long though, as The Rock hit a Rock Bottom on Stephanie at No Mercy. This was followed by Triple H attacking Angle, as The Game deemed Angle responsible for Stephanie getting hurt.
