Following Dean Ambrose's injury in late 2017, Seth Rollins was paired up in a tag team alongside Jason Jordan. The duo would even hold the RAW Tag Team Titles for a brief period.

But, as luck would have it, Rollins tag-team partner, Jason Jordan, would suffer a career-threatening neck injury leading to the duo going their separate ways. Jason Jordan's injury led to Rollins returning to singles competition, and even earning a spot in the men's Elimination Chamber Match.

On the February 19, 2018 edition of tRAW, Seth Rollins competed in a seven-man Gauntlet match. The first match of the night saw Seth Rollins locking horns with his Shield Brethern, Roman Reigns. Like all of their previous encounters, this was a PPV caliber match with lots of counters and false finishes. The finish of the bout saw Rollins roll up Reigns for a three-count.

The match between Reigns and Rollins was just a prelude to what was come next, a solid 30-minute match between Seth Rollins and John Cena. Much like the Reigns match, this too was filled with counters, false finishes, and rope breaks. After failing to put down Rollins after two AA's, Cena would fall prey to Rollins' Curb Stomp.

Fans in the crowd were in awe of what they were witnessing with chants of 'Let's Go Rollins' and 'This is Awesome' reverberating throughout the arena. Seth Rollins was finally eliminated by Elias.

Seth Rollins' marathon performance was the longest time spent in a match by any Superstar in the history of RAW. Rollins' performance in the Gauntlet match was a big turning point during his run as a babyface.
