QT Marshall attempted to defeat Lance Archer after the latter destroyed Dustin Rhodes to a point of exhaustion on last week's episode.

Before the match, Brandi Rhodes - Marshall's manager - appeared in a video where she stood up to Jake Roberts and his obsession with pitting Lance Archer against Cody on AEW Television.

This only foreshadowed terrible things for Brandi. Despite a worthy effort, there was no way QT Marshall would be able to stop Lance Archer's current momentum.

The Murder Hawk Monster has been one of AEW's biggest prospects so far, and this week was no different, where Jake Roberts' client defeated Marshall, as expected.

In the middle of this bout, AEW's "role model", Dr. Britt Baker had a small tiff with Brandi, but this would translate into a nightmare for Cody's wife when Baker pushed her into the ring after the match was over.

Jake Roberts revealed a python and tossed it over Brandi's limp body, after which, he also resorted to lewd conduct to establish that his character won't be diminished during a time where people get offended easily.

This was a bold move that also increased a certain level of animosity between Cody and Lance Archer ahead of their showdown at AEW's Double or Nothing event.
