#4 Does Braun Strowman deserve a top title at this point?

Braun Strowman has been one of WWE’s brightest stars for a long time now. The Monster Among Men has been put up against big men such as Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, but never really managed to go over those guys.

Fans always saw Strowman as a top Superstar and someone who could become the next monster for the company, but every time he got a major chance he’d mess it up and land back at square one.

Strowman has had two very short reigns as the RAW Tag Team Champion, and an Intercontinental Championship reign that lasted just over one month including a single defense.

Even though we do not doubt the talent and the charisma Strowman possesses, one wonders where it was the right time to crown The Monster Among Men the new Universal Champion.

We understand that WWE had to make a quick switch for Roman Reigns at the last moment, but Strowman had recently landed himself in hot waters after making some insensitive comments on social media. Apart from that, he has done nothing of significance over the past few months.

Would it have been better to bring in someone like Sheamus, who is a former WWE Champion, to replace Reigns and use his experience to carry the title for some time? Or could WWE have brought in a RAW or NXT Superstar to fill the void and move them to SmackDown in the process? Only time will tell how good a Champion Strowman can turn out to be after trying and failing to grab the title so many times.
